    New units :

    One Cold Knights :

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Cold One Knights are the most fearsome of the Dark Elves' dreaded warriors. The skill of the knights and viciousness of their mounts set them above the cavalry of lesser races. Though few in number, the ferocity of the Cold One Knights is such a decisive weapon that they can win a hard-fought battle with a single devastating charge.

    Dark Elves Warriors :
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Much of the Dark Elf army is raised from their cities, these warriors are skilled in combat and are plentiful in their numbers. The Dark Elf Warriors will form the backbone of most Druchii forces.

    Executionner :

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
When talking about the Dark Elf warriors that can be mustered for battle, it is worthwhile to discuss the city of Har Ganeth, known as the Cursed Place by the slaves who are sent there. This city is devoted to the service of our great god Khaine in his aspect as the Executioner. Here the craft of Death is held in the highest esteem. The elite warriors of this city are the Executioners, and they are foremost amongst the warriors of the Witch King.

    Spear Chukka :
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
The opportunity to spear large monsters from a distance or to skewer several man-sized creatures in a single shot appeals greatly to the violent and bloody nature of any greenskin. The bolt thrower, or Spear Chukka as it is termed by Orcs & Goblins works along the same lines as a giant crossbow, which fires a single spear-sized bolt at high velocity. This method of warfare is widely regarded by Goblins as an excellent way to kill things whilst avoiding retribution in return. There is certainly no shortage of crew for these rickety hand-made war machines.

    Rivers Troll
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
River Trolls are green coloured trolls with huge fangs, wide ears and blue scales along their body. They live in the marshes, swamps, lakes and rivers of the Old World. River trolls are noted for the fact that even compared to normal trolls, they are exceptionally disgusting and smelly, being quite possibly the most pungent creatures to live in the Old World. The stench of rotten fish and other questionable matter that emanates from them is so powerful that it can bring a man to his knees. It is very difficult to remove a River Troll once it has become entrenched in a body of water. Like others of its breed, the River Troll can regenerate all but the most hideous wounds, and can spew acidic vomit at anyone.

    Goblin
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Goblins, also affectionately known as gobbos or grots, are small, greenskinned and mean little humanoids. They are the counterparts to their brawny Orc cousins, making up in intelligence and sheer craziness what they lack in size and stature. Another common trait amongst goblins is their remarkable cowardice. Instead of loving heads-up close combat, as Orcs do, their favourite method of fighting is to shoot the enemy with bows from behind; if that can't be done, a spear is second best.

    Giants :

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Giants are huge, stupid monsters who blunder about searching for flesh and beer. But it was not always so, for theirs is a tragic story... Millennia ago, the Giants lived in castles hewn from the vast peaks of the Mountains of Mourn, their realm a peaceful archipelago of plateaus surrounded by a sea of white cloud. Civilisations rose and fell below, but these Sky Titans remained hidden from the eyes of the smaller races. This world was shattered when the Ogre homelands were destroyed by the coming of the Great Maw, forcing the Ogres into the mountains. A war in the heavens ensued. Though the Sky Titans were mighty, the Ogres' numbers prevailed, and they held feast after feast in the castles of their victims before pulling down their fastnesses and hurling them into the valleys below. The few surviving Sky Titans fled. Forced into small tribes, they became inbred, their intellect dwindling. Now the last remaining Giants are nomads, terrorising the Old World as mercenaries or brutes.

    Night Goblin

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Many years ago some Goblins took to living in the deep cave systems beneath the Worlds Edge Mountains. Over the centuries these became distinct in type and are now known as Night Goblins. Many abandoned Dwarf strongholds have been taken over by Night Goblin tribes, and much of the ancient Dwarf Empire is now infested with these creatures. Night Goblins are essentially very similar to ordinary Goblins, although they are even more vicious. Night Goblins have developed a strong aversion to sunlight that leads them to wear dark hoods and cloaks to keep off the rays of the sun when they come out into the open. They prefer to move around at night and they usually hide away during the day. Their equipment and fighting style is somewhat different, incorporating the infamous Night Goblin Fanatics, highly trained net fighters, and savage herds of Cave Squigs. They can also be seen using tamed Giant Spiders as mounts.Night Goblins cultivate vast quantities of the multicolored fungi that grow in the cool damp caves where they live. Some of these fungi contain toxins which are either hallucinogenic or downright poisonous - but Goblins have tough digestive systems which can cope with this sort of thing. Their Shamans love to experiment with the various strains of fungi: eating them, brewing them into fungus beer, and concocting potent poisons to use on their enemies.

Hey guys this looks awesome! Was wondering about the empire, are yall going to make them an ancient looking force, like from around the roman times? vs the current renaissance theme>? Great work either way!

Well if they would be set in the timeline of the mod they would not exist. The Empire is born 2700 years after what happens in the Sundering. Then to place them into the Empire in 0 Imperial Calendar they would be Germanic tribes, with very little contact to any of the races mentioned. Also the units shown (Orks, Goblins, Skaven) etc. appear like they do in 2500 IC, not their savage forms from the time before (or during) the early Empire.

The Sundering team, one more question, what is the setting (in timeline) of the alternative campaign?

kolwen did the map and made all he could (and the result is fine for a beginning) but he is more talented for units.

indeed we could really use your help on this task (and the map is challenging aswell as completly new).

    will you join the crusade?

The map looks pretty good actually, it needs some rework on heigths and matching ground types but it looks better than maps of some released mods.

University and RL atm are occupying all the time I have.
when you are done with the map (it is ready for release), send it to me and I will work on it further. if needed of course.
I dont want to take on a project that I wont be able to dedicate the appropriate amount of time for, it will be sloppy and disrespectful to both the players and you guys.

starting a map from scratch is a lot of work but editing an existing map (even if it results are completely different) is generaly a faster and easyer modding experience.

@ toho : for the map, ask kolwen he will tell exactly the state of the map

@ karabekian : the timeline is not precisely decided yet but we are talking about something completly different from the Sundering timeline. we might be between 2000 and 2500 after sigmar. as i said it is not decided yet and we are open to propositions.

The Second war of Chaos sounds very much what you are looking for already in that timeline. Some interesting lore and characters.

Lol I can not edit post so sorry. But Albion is what I dream to see. But probably have to wait until I can make it myself.

choosing timeline of the second war against chaos under the rule of Magnus the Pious seems difficult since we do not have kislev on the map, and many things happen there.

our map goes to kislev borders with empire, to araby in the south and from estalia on the west to badlands on the east (you have the map in our trailer btw)
