Launcher broken?

Hello,
For some reason the launcher will not work for me. I can launch the launcher, choose a faction and all that. But when I hit "Play Roma Surrectum II" it does not launch the game. I don't know what would cause this.


EDIT: - What OS do you use?: Vista Home 32 Bit

- What version of RTW do you use?: Latest and most patched

- Are you using steam or not?: Yes

- Install path: F:\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Rome Total War Gold

- Which launcher option have you used (exe, faction etc): Faction

However, my friend directed me towards the steam launch options for the campaigns.

same problem

looking like a glitchy launcher tbh

beta launcher worked fine

And it worked fine even when installed in programme files folder

(I put current version stand alone in a separate copy of RTW in C drive like instructed)
