Topic say it all and before you start yelling i have searched and tried the things out already but i found it unsuccessfull.
i tried editing the medieval2.preference setting the unit detail to ultra and highest but it did not change the LoDs appearing, I also experimented with the Latinikon unit in SS to set the LoD higher like this
13 latinikon_ug1
1 4
59 unit_models/_Units/byzantine_roster/latinikon_ug1_lod0.mesh 998
59 unit_models/_Units/byzantine_roster/latinikon_ug1_lod1.mesh 999
59 unit_models/_Units/byzantine_roster/latinikon_ug1_lod2.mesh 9998
59 unit_models/_Units/byzantine_roster/latinikon_ug1_lod3.mesh 9999
but still the LoD appeared
if i set the numbers higher like this:
13 latinikon_ug1
1 4
65 unit_models/_Units/byzantine_roster/latinikon_ug1_lod0.mesh 999996
65 unit_models/_Units/byzantine_roster/latinikon_ug1_lod1.mesh 999997
65 unit_models/_Units/byzantine_roster/latinikon_ug1_lod2.mesh 999998
65 unit_models/_Units/byzantine_roster/latinikon_ug1_lod3.mesh 999999
the sprites still kick in...
My latest theory: is it possible to change the unit_sprites into the LoD files that are in unit_models?
Any help in removing sprites would be greatly apreciated
thing is, computer is so new that im 99% confident it can handle rendering all units without any sprites being used
