Hi,
every time i try playing online, i get a message saying "login failed-invalid cd key"
Has anyone else had this problem or know how to get around it?

Where did you buy the game? When did you buy the game?

The game comes with a CD-key - you need to use that.

It's forbidden to discuss ways to bypass the CD-Key security also.....

Bought the game in a video game store in kehl (small town in germany) about 4 years ago. I am using the CD key that came with the game and have tried everything i can think of which is exactly why i posted this to see if anyone else has had the same problem... =/

Contact Sega support for a replacement key. they will require some form to prove it's a legit copy but I'll leave this between you and them.
