    Default The New Age




    The New Age it’s a submod that expands the number of units , that Isengard can have. I like to make this to all the factions but it’s too much work for one person. This is how it works.
    This is what you see at the beginning

    And the new technology is the shield crossbow unit,

    This tech its available they will folow the baron and KK the one ring scirpt.
    for example the shield crossbow tech will be available only when the one ring will be at Erebor, and they need time to reached, they will be rare. So they r special.

    And the Uruk-Hai Naffatun or bomb it will be added.
    The mumakil is have been removed no permission ,or beter ignore.
    Why i dont know,

    All the versions r not the very best in their field , like the longbows the EDU.txt is
    stat_pri 10, 2, arrow, 190, 35, missile, missile_mechanical, piercing, none, 0, 1
    and not like the elfs
    stat_pri 10, 2, elven_arrow, 190, 35, missile, missile_mechanical, piercing, none, 0, 1
    If I get the permissions I will upload it.I think many r OSP and only the credits r ok.

    Cool , I like Isengard allot so it is nice to see someone giving it special attention

    Looking nice, like already said its good to see that Isengard gets a bit more attention. But you have to be careful with the units they get, I think especially with the Mumakil, Isengard is extremly overpowered and it looks really weird if Saruman comes along with a horde of Mumakil, they are a bit to much for my taste.

    Very nice. You know what would be cool is if you get the ring as Isengard you can opt to keep it and get some powerful bonuses but go to war with all the evil factions. Or just Morder, Rhun and Harad?

    @Northman75 the will be very rare and mumakill is very week not like the original mumakil. but still its a powerfull unit.
    @joshko I was thinking the something same

    I have made the tests and it works fine do far, the 1st unique unit it has been created at turn 101, and its orthanc guard cavalry. I am so happy , it dont change the Isengard week points , still its dont heave good cavalry 1 unit every 20 turns dont help much.

    Cool , good to hear, but 100 + turns is to much imo.
    My last isengard campaign h/h took 120 turns.
    But it´s good news the tests are going well.

    I could research earlier (about 50) but i choose the way to upgrade the castle of isengard first.
    And to make more harder the research must start right away, because if the ring goes to another city the research will stop. And many times, because the ring go random to cities and dont give all new tech, this will make the waiting longer.
    I make it so hard because i dont want the isengard to become a super faction, this will do damage to the gameplay.

    Nice project. May I suggest to have the uruk-hai infantry javelin more like Roman legionaire behaviour instead of a light skirmish unit behaviour. It would be interesting. Oh, and those horses are great.

    Their behaviour is like Roman legionaire, their throw a javelin and then charge and the formation is allmost the same, the only diffrence is that their can make shield wall.

    The sub mod is allmost ready, i have add a new unit the uruk-elf. here is a pic

    They are supposed to be a cross breeding between elfs and orcs (), right? I dont think the bows fit them even supposing they would have "elf genes". They would probably be armed the same way as their counterparts.

    The Uruk-Hai armor, as seen in the movies and this mod, doesn't really fit for bows It's too heavy to be able to move fast and I think it'd get in the way alot. Then again...*looks at Gondor and laughs*

    A cross breeding between Dunedain and Uruk-Hai? That would make more sense.

    Thanx all for the suggestions... They (Uruk_elf) will move a lot slower to fix the heavy armor, like the pikemen they have 0,8 speed

    Because for the permissions they ignore me, only Taro_M give me the permission for the longbow and quiver, i had to make some changes here is the first
