Default Headmaster's Office - Current Headmaster James Elvric

    Office of the Headmaster
    James Elvric

Sitting in the Headmasters tower is the Headmasters office. Guarded by the third floor gargoyles, only those who have been invited, or know the password may enter. Currently the password is Tyto.

The newly appointed Headmaster of Hogwarts, James Elvric has made few changes to the room. The large bookshelves show signs of use, especially the charms section, and on a stand sits Tyto, James owl. It is the same stand that once sat Fawkes the phoenix. Around the room sit the considerable number of portraits of the past Headmasters. Including a recently commissioned portrait of Hadrian Cromwell. A man assumed dead. Another addition since Dumbledores days is a picture in honour of Severus Snape.

Around the room lie many of James possessions, along with more than a few belonging to the school itself. On one side sits the famous sorting hat, and in a cabinet sits Godric Gryffindor's sword. A pile of old books sits almost discarded to one side, though close inspection revels them to be books of truly advanced charms. One book alone entirely dedicated to
Finite Incantatem (the end of magic, and how to cast it. By Rufus Grandor). Several other items are arranged around the room, some of which even James is yet to figure out.

James speaks the password by the gargoyles, and enters the headmasters office.

Hadrian Cromwell was sitting at his desk petting the mysterious Siamese cat that followed him, at the noise of the moving Gargoyle he looked up,

    "
Ah, Professor.. I trust the school did not give you much grief in my absence?"

Though it is on a somewhat matter than i am here for.

    "Enlighten me Professor."

Hadrian stopped petting the cat and looked on attentively

    Hadrian raised an eyebrow,

"To do so would be most irregular, is she in some kind of danger?"

A painting sighed and looked down at the girl,

"Say the password to the Gargoyle, you're blocking my view of the window."

Evangelina looked at the painting, and nodded.
"I know, but I have not been informed the password."

After asking around for many hours where the headmasters office is he almost decides to give up until an older student decides to help him on his way arriving to the gargoyles, they ask for the password and Dominick is again stumped. Still trying to keep his smile on he says

"Look here, this is important. I gotta tawk to the Headmaster. I dont know the password."

    The portrait sighs,

    "Mornington Crescent."

The Gargoyle slid out of the way, giving the girl access

"I see.. Who was her guardian before Hogwarts, and what has happened to them?"

The Gargoyle does not move, and the sympathetic painting has gone walkabout

    A Giles Silver.

    James thinks,

no, that's not right. Gibes Silver? Something like that. Can't quite place the name. He is the last remain member of her family - the rest killed to allow the dark lords attack on the ministry of magic - he is the one that requested it of us. I get the feeling he doesn't really know how to look after her. And i believe the girl feels obliged to request it, she is understandably guarded about her own feelings on this.

Hadrian pondered this moment for a while, the Siamese looked at him, and the Headmaster nodded,
"Professor, I think I will speak to this girl personally.. However, should we agree to this, I would require a Professor here to become her guardian."

Edward let the sentence hang in the air

Indeed, speaking to the girl would be sensible. Though i thought it best to raise it with you first.

James tried to ignore the many portraits hanging there. Most of which looked horrified at the thought of a student staying for summer. Though the one of Albus Dumbledore looked thoughtful, which he took to be a good sign.

"I will speak to her and make a decision, and I will inform you as a result.. Was there anything else, James?"

Hadrian had spoken as the conversation had come to an end, and the sneakoscope on his desk began to move ever so slightly, there was clearly something else on the Professor's mind

Er... Yes actually. An odd request of my own. I was wondering if i could borrow the sorting hat. I never attended Hogwarts you see, and am curious as to which house i would have been placed in.

Hadrian chuckled and he looked at the Siamese before turning once more to James,

"The question of which house someone belongs in, ever a question for many who did not attend here."

The Headmaster stood up and unlocked a cabinet in the corner, removing the beaten old wizard's hat, walking towards Elvric he smiled and gave it to him,

"Do not despair if you do not get what you thought it would be, and make sure I have it returned in one piece."
