Office of the Headmaster
James Elvric
Sitting in the Headmasters tower is the Headmasters office. Guarded by the third floor gargoyles, only those who have been invited, or know the password may enter. Currently the password is Tyto.
The newly appointed Headmaster of Hogwarts, James Elvric has made few changes to the room. The large bookshelves show signs of use, especially the charms section, and on a stand sits Tyto, James owl. It is the same stand that once sat Fawkes the phoenix. Around the room sit the considerable number of portraits of the past Headmasters. Including a recently commissioned portrait of Hadrian Cromwell. A man assumed dead. Another addition since Dumbledores days is a picture in honour of Severus Snape.
Around the room lie many of James possessions, along with more than a few belonging to the school itself. On one side sits the famous sorting hat, and in a cabinet sits Godric Gryffindor's sword. A pile of old books sits almost discarded to one side, though close inspection revels them to be books of truly advanced charms. One book alone entirely dedicated to Finite Incantatem (the end of magic, and how to cast it. By Rufus Grandor). Several other items are arranged around the room, some of which even James is yet to figure out.
