This post encompasses my opinions and fears about Rome Total War 2, Darthmod, and Creative Assembly.
I mean no disrespected with these statements, it's just that I feel I have to voice them.
I was very disappointed in both CA and Nick (Darth Vader) after reading this article:

As the linked facebook post explains through two other posts on this site, Darthmod will not be coming to any future TW titles. He made this decision because he feels CA is again shooting their community in the leg, which we all know they've done in the past with further modding restrictions on their games.
I can't assert that Nick should have a job at CA, because frankly I (and the majority of community members) don't have all the information that CA's HR department does.
I can say that DarthMod has been an integral part of many TW player's experience, and it disheartening to see CA disrespect and undervalue Nick's contribution to their profit margin, and the community at large.
Many famous let's play's involve DM, from Medieval II to Shogun II. These videos no doubt lead to sale increases for CA, aswell as more involve in this very community that we all hold near and dear.
As I've said above, we've had Creative Assembly shoot us in the proverbial leg -several- times before.
This modding summit is a good will gesture, and we should value it.
Craig's statement (you can find it off from Darth's Facebook post) is both depressing and disheartening, as it proves that CA's 'dedication' to the modding community is ultimately subject to their corporate overlords and ultimately, profit margin. It's too bad they can't notice many successful triple A title games offer wonderful modding support which increase their sales and quality of gameplay and replayability 10x.
I will be purchasing Rome 2 Total War, simply because I know the modding community will not let me down. Creative Assembly already has, and continues to do so since Empire Total War.
