One of the leading lights in the wider Total War community, Total War Center, has published the third of its new series of Total War podcasts. The show is packed with content, including community news, a podcast competition, a Scottish person called Spiff, and more.

When Total War Fans Get Bored...
Deep in the murky depths of the Total War forums, we recently discovered someone so enamoured with Total War that he decided to build a trebuchet in his back garden. A medieval siege weapon capable of visiting some serious damage on a castle and its inhabitants, our man has used his to lob Jar Jar Binks and "heavy shoes" the length of his garden. He also admits to firing a damaging shot backwards into his own house. Brilliant.

The vambraces and shoe buckles are all wrong! CA doesn't pay attention to any historical detail! They're making another arcade game for THOSE DAMN PUNK RTS CLICK KIDDIES! If they mess up another detail I'll kill myself! I know I've been threatening to kill myself before every game they've released (starting with Mongol Invasion) but I really mean it this time!

And yes, I was just joking. Those screenshots are breathtaking. I can't wait to try the game out.

do you think that the archers special thing to lay down stakes is a bit to much ? theres hundreds there it looks a little wierd also you can see lots of flaming bodies from the flaming arrows

if we should talk eye candy only, I think it is looking great, and if they could manage an adequate AI to match these screens, I must say that we are looking forward for a game of the decade.
