I noticed throughout my gaming that agents the AI clans use tend to succeed more than "normal" (as in compared to my rank 4-6 agents i usually have thanks to shrines etc).
The last 3 campaign saw a ridicelous example of this with enemy rank 1, yes RANK 1, agents scoring 80% success chance average. Rank 1 ninja sabotaging my rank 6 general army with no fail until he is rank 5 and my rank 6 monk trying to convert him with 70-80% success chance but always failing.
2x Rank 1 metsuke bribing 2 stacks of armies in 4 goes, failing once out of 5 tries and yet again my rank 4-6 agents failed killing them all the bloody time.
Not to mention that 4 of my rank 6 ninjaes during my hattori campaign all died in 1 turn trying to kill their, yep you guessed it,: rank 1-2 agents.
These 3 campaigns incidently is some of the greatest (or for me: worst) examples of ridicelous "luck" for the AI clans when it comes to agents, his agents succeeding all the time even at rank 1 while mine fail most of the time, always at critical times, even when they are rank 4-6 (ninjaes being rank 6 in my hattori campaign). and i do go for the increased success chance arts once i got the others i want. As hattori i nabbed the ninja arts early.
Thus i have to post the questione: Did they boost the AI agents? (and also screw up player agents?)
I dont mind giving the AI an edge, but what i saw the 3 previous campaigns was utter ridicelous far beyond the border of realism and fairness. And i see the trend continuing in my 4th campaign as the ikko where tokugawa, mori, imagawa and asai agents again succeed 80% of the time with rank 1-2 agents.
Im starting to think i should create a mod that eliminates agents altogether -_-'
again i dont mind AI use of agents, they use them clever. its their stupid string of unrealistic success with low ranked agents that piss me off![]()
