Wrong Latin spelling of the titles used in our community

I strongly suggest to fix the wrong Latin spelling of some titles/definitions which are currently used in our community.

- Civitate: Civis = "citizen";

- Patrician: Patricius = "noble, patrician"

- Senatorii: Senator = "senator, member of the senate"

- Tribounos: Tribunus = "tribune, magistrate"

- Consilium Bela: Consilium Belli = "council of the war"

- Consilium Pax: Consilium Pacis = "council of the peace"

I think thats supposed to be greek to correspond with the upcoming changes to the theme.

...ah...sorry, I thought it was a wrong form for the Latin "tribunus".

If it is greek it's OK.

Well, since TWC will switch to Byzantine titles once ME2 is out - I can live with wrong spelling. Also, keep in mind that new badges would need to be made, etc. Just look forward to the Byzantine themed titles...

...that's not a matter of survival, of course ...but maybe it is possible to fix them editing just few words

You would have to change the banners too. If someone is willing to do that its fair game. Go bother Lord Rahl.

Everything else is a quick edit in the admin cp. That shouldnt be a problem. Its convincing the curia to make superflous and very simple changes is the problem. They dont happen to like any kind of change. But if its the correct spelling im all for it.

The curia is notorious for making 10 second changes and edits take more than a month.

Yeah dude, people *Sim cough cough* have been wanting to get real latin spellings down forever. But the flipping Curia will take forever to debate it and if it ever made it to vote, then we will have switched themes already.

Sim has been giving us correct latin names for months. First, there is going to be a switch soon, so this doesn't matter anymore. Second, the curia in general hasn't really wanted real latin names (I speak in the past tense, because I can only go off what happened before, perhaps things have changed now). Personally I like "civitate" and don't really care for "civis."

We do have those correct latin names (Belli and Pacis). Look at the Syntagma, those are there names.

hardly the case lol... the closest to a senate here being the CdeC i guess... or maybe the combinations of the CdeC and the two councels

Yea the misspellings are what makes this forum distinct i think, though with regards to the Councils forum names, as Fabolous says they simply need updating to the correct version which was agred on some time a few weeks ago.

As for the senatorii.. we could always make it so that senatorii are automaticaly granted access to te councils perhaps.. hmm. I think its criminal we dont have a single forum called "The Senate" to be honest..

Civitates at least is a name as old as the curia, accurate or not its part of the very bedrock of the establishment and i wouldn't like or feel comfortable seeing it changed to anything else.
