problem with roman campaign rs2.5

greetings
i have a problem with the roman campaign in rs 2.5, i cant play any battle, because i get a ctd before the battle starts.
the weird thing is that im playing also a macedon and greek campaigns, without any issue at all, not a single ctd, it only with rome.
i've noticed that when playing rome the unit cards are not properly shown (dont know if its related to the ctds)

Moved to the tech Help part of the forum with an expiring redirect (7 days)....

'White' unit cards have been mentioned a number of times on this forum. Either select a building/unit in another settlement and then go back to the original unit and it may appear. Otherwise wait a few turns and it will re-appear. This happened in RS1.5 and it happens still. No one knows why but various theories have been made.

but it didnt work, the cards are still white. and what about the CTD? its only with rome
its rs2.5, with alex engine, its installed ina exclusive folder for rs2.5 no other mods or addons, no steam.
my rig is w7 64bit, core i7, 8gig ram, radeon 6770.
