Default The Great War in colour

This evening the german ZDF broadcasted a documentation with Great War era coloured footage.
It really got me in the mood to check the developement state of this much anticipated mod.
Altough the docu is in german, i'd like to share it with you for its visual qualities.
The film is the first part of a three part series and covers the events of 1914 and Hitlers (sadly that pig survived) participation in a bavarian reserve regiment.

For those interested here's the link. I hope it still works with a foreign IP. http://www.zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/haupt...%C3%BCndenfall

Here in the US I saw something like that. It was based like WW2 in color and it was really interesting to watch.

    Works fine from USA.

That was really cool. I didn't know that there was even any color footage of WW1 in existence. I just wish it was in English so I could have actually watched the whole thing and learned some stuff.

They didn't have colour footage in WW1. It was digitally remastered and coloured. However, they did have actual colour footage in WW2

That's correct. I saw the film of the ZDF, too, and they are coloured.

WWI In Colour has been around for some time, but was aired earlier this year on the Military Channel.
