The Ravenclaw common room is in one of the castle's towers and is wide and circular. You have to climb a spiral staircase to get there. It has graceful arched windows, and the walls are hung with blue and bronze silks. The domed ceiling is painted with stars, which are echoed in the midnight-blue carpet. Tables, chairs, and bookcases cover the expanse of the floor, and a white-marble statue of Rowena Ravenclaw sits next to the door that leads to the dormitories above. Ravenclaw House prizes learning, wisdom, and wit in its members.Thus, many Ravenclaws tend to be academically motivated and talented students.

Dominick found his tower and situated himself. When he was done he plopped himself on one of the more uncomfortable seats in the common room, the better seats meant for the Older students.

[Trot]

Demetri enters having had a long first day school was stressful the stairs had to keep moving on him how would he ever learn his way around. Spying Dom he goes and sits down next to him.

"Man, its been one hell of a day. How'd yours finish off?"

[Trot]

"Why do the stairs have to move" he asks exhausted "I'm always lost."

Dom nearly got stuck on a staircase too. Luckily enough, as his friends back home would put it, he was a little crazy so he jumped it and somehow made it.

"They have to have maps somewhere. That or we will have to spend part of this weekend figuring the grounds out."
