Default Harry Turtledove's Timeline 191 Submod

    Hello,

This was posted in the N:TW TGW forum page before, I was told to post in here to see what you guys would think of a submod. The story goes that the South wins the Civil War by not losing Special Order 191 issued by Lee. So, Antietam is never fought, and they win with French/British mediation upon the United States. Another war is fought 20 years later, which is another disastrous US defeat. This leads to WW1, since North America is available in Empire, not Napoleon. Would it be possible for a submod on this series?

    Here are some screens too

I don't own these pictures, they were made for a Mod of Civilization 3

If it is possible, that would be awesome,

    From,

yeah ofcourse you can make a submod
make a few models and screens and youre in. you have to make them yourself cuz we got no time for it.
i'll probably help you after the beta release.
i only want one thing: submod only in TWTEAW forum available

It shoudn't be too difficult(like PM said), only retexturing and little changes of our existing models.

As a Small Update (<I guess...)

I have made a really cheap logo, and I've laid out the basic plan for the Mod, I tried making a helmet in Milkshape 3D, as a noob, I would still give myself a F-...

In other words, I am really up to the challenge of making this a legit Submod for TWTEAW

    Thanks everybody!

Yes, in the Mod, the US is Allies with the Big Guns of the Central Powers
    Heres a chart for Reference...

Central Powers: US, Imperial Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Ottoman Turkey
Quadruple Entente: CS, UK (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, etc), France, Italy, Tsarist Russia

I have made the desicison to run the Mod in Warpath only, if its accessible since actually...I haven't played TWTEAW yet so...yea...some things im still thinking about

Interesting....im assuming also that the CSA politically evolved into what you might call a 'fascist aristocracy' - the ideals of the 20th century fascist movement seems like something they could quickly and easily adopt, as Social Darwinism can be used to justify slavery ^^

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,"

    Not really...

The CSA stood for States Rights, and the Rights to Own Slaves (But More for States Right's than Anything), They eventually recognized after The Second Mexican War (Which was after the Civil War and Before the Great War in the 1880's) that Slavery was wrong. But, their is a mention of the "Southern Aristocracy" in the Books themselves. They mention the "Copper Kings of Sonora, Oil Barons of Texas, Plantation Dukes of the Carolinas," etc. The CSA is run as if the Articles of Confederation were a lot more stricter, but gave some power to the States themselves. Also, the USA is now backed by the Kaiser, SO....They run as they do today with a Strong Central Government, and with German adopted Economic and Military Idealogy's. The South coins the US president the "Yankee Kaiser" too . So this is my shpiel on the books Governments and how the countries run, that's all

    Somewhat,

The books themselves don't delve into Religion that much. According to the books, the "Whig" party is a bunch of Conservatives, so by my guess, it would be frowned upon to not have a belief system or not be Christian, maybe though, just my opinion
