Rome Total War Multiplayer not compatible

When i go to join a game it i says its not compatible.

I have rome total war gold edition, i have reinstalled several times and each time i can play online for the first time but when i exit and start rome up again its not compatible.

The installs need to be exactly the same.

One thing you can try is to delete the map.rwm files (they should be in "...\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign"). These files will only be present if a campaign has been launched. The map.rwm file is created from other data files when the campaign is launched (and if the file is not there already).

There may be one in the 'sons_of_mars' folder as well - delete that also.

One thing you can do is to have two installs - one for MP and one for running campaigns. Simply copy the whole 'Rome - Total War' folder (maybe to a folder called RTW_MP).

Deleted the map.rpm file but i still cant play multiplayer
