The Event List
If you want to contribute some events, just spoiler them in a post and I will add them to the OP. Be creative, but let's not have any totally outrageous events. Think in terms of department specific, player type specific, group specific, or good/evil orientation specific events. Also, please number your events.
Here is the current event list:

1. Muggles begin nosing about in an area of London that has direct portals into the Ministry
2. A troll appears in the dungeons of Hogwarts
3. Your home/place of residence has become infested with Doxies
4. Your home becomes the haunt of a particularly unpleasant ghost
5. Death Eaters attack a shop in Diagon Alley, trying to kidnap the owner
6. Underage wizards have been performing magic in the presence of muggles
7. A cairn containing dozens of inferi has been breached, and the inferi are walking freely towards highly populated areas.
8. An ancient basilisk has escaped its underground prison
9. Two aurors are found dead in the middle of a field in Surrey, should it be investigated?
10. The Dark mark appears over a dense forest
11. Muggle Prime Minister disappears. Rumours adrift!
12. Muggle gang wars create chaos. Death eaters adding fuel to fire.
13. Fiendfyre spotted in countryside!
14. Illegally smuggled Chimera breaks loose!
15. Acromantula infestation in a forest near muggle settlement.
16. Dragon gone berserk in Wales!
17. Death eaters attack Hogsmeade!
18. Death eaters attempt to take over foreign ministry.
19. Flying carpets create menace.
20. Rise in muggle baiting incidents.
22. Dragon population rises beyond norms.
23. Rogue vampire loose in Kent.
24. Rise in smuggling of dragon eggs.
25. The goblins riot!
26. Wizards dueling in muggle street. In broad daylight!
27. Criminal(s) escape(s) from azkaban!
28. Upcoming quidditch to be organised.
29. Death eaters strike again! Wreck havoc in middle of muggle city.
30. Underage wizard injures muggle by performing magic.
31. A pair of truant students are caught up in some trouble with the Womping Willow.
32. A infestation of Screechsnaps has grown in your garden/local Park.
33. You've suddenly misplaced your wand...
34. You are invited to write a guest column for the Daily Prophet.
35.You miss the train to Hogwarts (maybe not on purpose)
36. Take a journey to the shrieking shack
37. Get caught by muggles for a regular offense (something as stupid as j walking or something)
38. Gringotts is robbed! (somebody breaks into Gringotts, lots of ministry involved)
39. You are attacked by a Werewolf!
40. A student is pilfering your office supplies.
41. Fire breaks out at Hogwarts.
42. A reporter from the Daily Prophet is hassling you.
43. You get lost and misplaced on the Grand Staircase.
44. A Hogwarts Ghost strikes up a conversation with you.
45. A person within a Portrait has gone missing.
46. You happen across the Room of Requirement
47. You are offered a suspicious-looking Cornish pasty.
48. Dark creatures have been seen in the Black Lake.
49. A rebellious student proposes to go fishing in the Black Lake with you.
50. A student approaches you, asking for some help with classwork.
51. News from the Ministry indicate there are deatheaters on the school property
52. Spiders from the Forbidden Forest enter the grounds
53. The House potraits refuse to co-operate
54. The Stairs develop minds of their own
55. The school's Bludgers have got loose.
56. A school bully picks a fight with you.
57. A young urchin thief steals from your purse as you walk down Diagon Alley.
58. A Muggle accidentally happens upon you performing magic.
59. You run into a Centaur during a trip in the Forbidden Forest.
60. You forget the password to your common room.
61. You lose the keys to your house.
62. Passing through the halls you see someone getting bullied for being muggle born
63. An Acromantula colony has appeared in the Forbidden Forest.
64. An old school friend of yours invites you for a drink at the Three Broomsticks Inn.
65. A classmate invites you on a little trip to sneak into Honeydukes, in Hogsmeade.
66. A House-elf suddenly turns up on your doorstep.
67. There are reports of a Gorgon terrorising the people of the Isle of Man.
68. A character finds a present dropped somewhere in Hogwarts
69. Rogue Dementor appears in some part of England/Hogwarts/etc
70. While in the restroom, Mrytle appears and makes a mess.
