1998- The death of Lord Voldemort at the hands of Harry Potter has liberated the wizarding world of a dangerous threat, but that world now lies in pieces. Remnants of the Dark Lord's servants still evade the ministry and and some even attempt to marshal his forces under their own leadership. Although weakened and incredibly scattered, the dark forces are marshaling once again. it may take years to recover from their losses, but new dark wizards always rise to replace old ones, and Lord Voldemort taught more than a few tricks to his faithful. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Magic has been rocked by its possession by Lord Voldemort. Now is a time for rebuilding. Many high level Ministry positions were vacated as they were either killed or imprisoned for cooperating with the Dark Lord. The shopkeepers of Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade are also in a state of recovery. The violence forced many out of shop, but new business opportunities await those with entrepreneurial spirits. As Gringot's slowly recovers from its losses, it seeks to make new business loans to attract more investors.
The Minister of Magic has given the Office of the Aurors full permission to use unforgivable curses in the apprehension of known Death Eaters fleeing justice.
For the start of the game, players will be given the option to either begin as an underage student beginning at Hogwarts, or may begin as a fully qualified wizard.
For Students: Students will be given 30 proficiency points and 20 willpower for free that they can place wherever they like. These points indicate where the natural talents of the students will lie.
Qualified adult wizards will be given 100 points to assign in any way they wish and 30 willpower. For the purposes of the start of the game, point requirements for certain positions will be relaxed, but the division of points should reflect the necessary requirements of the office or position. Essentially any position is up for grabs, and if multiple people want the same job, we'll roll dice for it. Any unoccupied office/position of importance will be staffed by an NPC until a worthy human player presents itself. To apply for ministry positions, see the head of departments, or in the absence of a department head, the Minister. Note that any unclaimed positions will be given to NPCs for roleplay purposes, and any leadership positions will only become available after three years of in game play and will be staffed by the "correct" NPC characters (Such as Kingsley Shacklebolt as Minister). Adult wizards will begin with 1,000 galleons. Qualified Wizards should indicate which profession they wish to apply for in their creation thread.
Ask a moderator if you would like to have special skills or circumstances, such as being a werewolf or metamorphmagus.

Atticus Bernard Prince is the nephew of Severus Snape, the renowned headmaster of Hogwarts that met his death at the hands of Lord Voldemort during the Battle of Hogwarts. He was born on August 19th 1987. Atticus' parents, Sarah Jesperson and Donald Prince are relatively unknown, probably due to the fact that Sarah is an English muggle and it wouldn't do to advertise that fact too heavily while Lord Voldemort was still active. This makes Atticus a Half-blood. His upbringing was average and not marked by any traumatic events and he is quite a normal child. If he has one deficiency it is in his friends. Since he did not live around many Wizarding children his own age he was forced to play with muggles who usually regarded him as an oddity. He seeks approval and comradeship, perhaps a bit too much. He wants to be well liked.
Atticus inherited his Father's dark hair, but his mother's pale blue eyes. He has an average build with no particularly distinguishing features. He is a soft spoken and incredibly focused person who fully immerses himself into his work. He aspires to be sorted into Slytherin House, where members of his family have traditionally been sent. Although still young, Atticus shows a proclivity in potion making. He enjoys experimenting with the creation of potions. This often leaves his cauldrons in a state of complete destruction. Atticus is a very loyal friend and does not have the typical attitude of arrogance associated with most Slytherins.

Finishing: Nothing fancy, it is a brand new wand with a smooth finish and a comfortable grip.
Nigel was born of two muggles, they were lower class and did nothing more than survive, until the night they were both shot while walking down the street. Prior to this shooting they had made After that day he ran of and tried to fend for himself for several weeks, then he was found by police who took him to an orphanage where he was raised until he was almost 11. Before this e was well liked and could stand that but he didn't really work into, or fit into any regular groups around the orphanage and strange things seemed to happen to him aswell. He found that when he was extremely mad over an issue the person he was mad at ended up having extra chores and tasks, along with other more extreme events... Then a man came to him, he called himself head master and explained that he ran a special school, a school for those gifted with the skill of wizardry. Nigel didn't believe him but the man had said it was true and all his schooling would be paid for so Nigel didn't put off and went forward. After two years of schooling complete Nigel has a core of good friends and all the teachers like him for some reason. He does well in every class and no teacher has a particular dislike of him. He is almost ready to start his third year and that is one of the years that will decide him..
The Sorting Hat was placed on the young man's head.. Humming loudly to the whole hall the hat spoke only to the boy, "There is a lot of anger within you, young wizard.. Yet you have also managed to keep a brave face through that. Yet I have a sneaking suspicion that once you leave these halls, you may go down the wrong path, and I cannot led you lead.. Others astray. SLYTHERIN it is, young wizard, and I am sure the students after you will tell tales of this moment."

The youngest child of three of the latest generation of House Dalca, a pureblood family that has a lineage streching back to the Voivodate of Wallachia in the 1400s, perhaps even further. The house is known for their mastery of fire spells and rumored vampiric blood in the past as several did serve the Draculesti, rulers of Wallachia..notably Vlad II and Vlad III Tepes, the latter also being known as Dracula and believed to be a vampire, same for his father Vlad II. The Dalca were advisors to the Voivode, with some records believing they used the Imperius Curse on the Voivode's muggle soldiers to force them to adhere to every command without question, or force enlistment. Later rumors of the curse being used to make servants out of those who trespassed on their land or tried to investigate the family, at least for wizards, and Muggles out of boredom or amusment. So it is not suprising House Dalca are known to be usually dark wizards, but there are those who were not, one was Violeta's great grandfather, Constantin, who was Minister of Magic during the 1910s and led a campaign against dark wizards and witches using the chaos in the Muggle world for some ill purpose, and Denis Horia Dalca, a Dragon Hunter in the 1500s who died along with several other hunters protecting a village from what is believed to be a Ukrainian Ironbelly, but there are few records left of the incident.
Violeta is the third child to Marius Traian Dalca and Serafima Viorica Dalca nee Madgearu. Both of her parents were apparently Death Eaters and involved in the Second Wizarding War, rumored to be part of the 1994 World Cup riot, using fire spells to set ablaze numerous campsites and people, and the Battle of Hogwarts. Their fate after the battle is unknown, but Violeta's uncle believed they survived and are now in hiding from the Ministry of Magic in England and the Romanian Ministry has also begun a investigation, believing Marius was behind a string of fires that left at least fifty Muggles and twenty or more Muggle-born dead, while his wife may have used the Imperius curse to indirectly murder Muggles or Muggle-born wizards. Her uncle lives in England, as he was viewed as being one of the few oddities in the family and treated poorly in comparison to Marius, the favorite of their parents. Violeta has been accepted into Hogwarts as she has been staying with her uncle since 1997 when her parents dropped her off, saying she was there for a vacation and never returned. Her personality is usually variant, depending on her mood, of which may be due to some emotional issues and her worrying over her parents's fate. She is rather calm and polite to most people, but does hold a strong dislike for muggle born and some half-bloods, varying from refusing to talk or achknowledge them to outright loathing them and insulting them when possible...but has some control over this developed from being in Hogwarts for two years already, but can still slip out if she's angry or annoyed, and if it is someone she loathes. Is in House Slytherin.
Physical Appearence : Long, pitch black hair that goes down to the middle of her back and is combed so it covers her left eye as well. Has paler than usual skin and ice blue eyes. Is taller than most thirteen year old girls, but an inch or two shorter than her cousin, and somewhat attractive as well, causing some people to stare at her a bit longer than usual..
----- Note : This will be provided I have enough time to dedicate to a student character.

Name: Cecil Florent
Age: 13 (born March 23rd, 1987)
Occupation: Student
Willpower: 43.5
Potion Making: 15
Hexes: 26.5
Curses: 25
Charms: 24
Herbology/Healing: 17
History: Cecil Florent is the third child out of four, but only son of Aloysius Florent III and Cécile Duval. The Florents, his father's side of the family, were a pure-blood line affiliated with wizarding government (mostly in mid-level or clerical roles, with very few of them actually coming to prominence) since the 1700s, until his great-grandfather Algernon, a mid-ranking official with the Ministry of Magic, married a Muggle-born in 1888; the Duvals, his mother's side of the family, were a prominent family of Muggle vinters from the Anjou region of France. Cecil's parents are veterans of both Wizarding Wars, not that they had much choice - his mother, a French Muggle-born who worked under the Department of Magical Law Enforcement in a clerical role, would have been targeted by the Death Eaters whether or not she fought, while his half-blood father was an Auror and a particularly ferocious opponent of the Death Eaters, motivated by both his personal loyalty to the Ministry of Magic and a manic desire to protect his wife and children.
While both faithfully served the Ministry of Magic through the First Wizarding War, Aloysius in particular making a reputation for himself as an ardent supporter of the methods employed by Barty Crouch Sr., in his opposition to the Death Eaters, they also fully believed Ministry propaganda damning Harry Potter as a glory-seeking imbecile during peacetime, and like many other wizards and witches, failed to open their eyes until it was far too late. After Minister Rufus Scrimgeour's assassination and replacement by the Death Eater puppet Pius Thicknesse, Aloysius knew that his wife was in the sights of the Death Eaters and that they were untouchable (without breaking the law) now that they had the Ministry in their hands, but was still unwilling to fight the Ministry he had served for decades, while his wife was all for opposing the rule of the corrupted Ministry; in the end, thinking to at least protect their children, they fled to Cécile's relatives in France. Only near the conclusion of the war did Alois and Cécile return after much debate and soul-searching, participating in the Battle of Hogwarts in an attempt to save Britain for their children and to redeem themselves, with both getting mauled over the course of the battle. Shortly afterward, Cecil (now old enough to enter Hogwarts) and his siblings, their future and personal safety secured for the time being, returned to England to live with their uncle and aunt until their parents made a full recovery.
Personality: Cecil is arrogant, stubborn and confrontational, holding his head high even in the presence of superiors, always trying to avoid conceding defeat even when it is evident that he cannot win, quick to take a strong opinion on any subject and make it known, and preferring to confront problems and insults directly. Nonetheless, he is gregarious, carrying no worry about striking up conversations with strangers, and loyal to those he considers friends, being prepared to risk maybe not everything, but certainly much for them. Though he is quite prideful himself, he is still prepared to help out those who call for his assistance - even if he will poke fun at their incompetence, real or perceived, in the process - and he has no great love for those who are too arrogant or selfish to lend a hand when called upon. Being the half-blood son of a Muggle-born who opposed the Death Eaters, he has absolutely no patience for blood purists and carries a special dislike for them.
Physical appearance: Cecil is rapidly growing to match his father in height, and like his old man he is also skinny to the point of appearing rather lanky. His light brown curls, fair complexion and gray eyes are all features inherited from his mother.
Name: Florence Lovegood
Age: 21 (born June 9th, 1979)
Occupation: Professor of Transfiguration
Willpower: 30
Potion Making:1
Hexes: 75
Curses: 8
Charms: 15
Herbology/Healing: 1
History: Florence is the only child of William and Fiora Lovegood, cousin of the more famous member of the family, Luna Lovegood who was present during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries in 1996 and the Battle of the Astronomy Tower in 1997 and was also a leader of the reconstituted Dumbledore's Army when Hogwarts fell under the control of Lord Voldemort. The Lovegoods are an eccentric bunch of wizarding individuals and are often known for delving into the weird and unusual side of magic, often straying from the mainstream conventions of doing things. After the reign of Voldemort's terror came to an end, the Quibbler which was run by Xenophilius Lovegood became more known and popular in the public eye and the family are proceeding to prosper and expand their studies into the paranormal. William and Fiora Lovegood are not as well known as their close-relatives, working as simple journalists for various newspapers as freelancers and experts in the field of unusual magic. Florence was present for the latter part of the war against the death-eaters, being in her earlier years of Hogwarts as it came to an end, helping in the defense of hogwarts with her specified range of knowledge in the field of transfiguration. When there was not as much turmoil, she spent most of her time studying abnormal happenings alongside her cousin Luna and when not doing that, practicing her transfiguration spells to put to good use. Upon her graduation she excelled in her N.E.W.T.S for transfiguration with flying colors and hence was personally invited to rejoin as the transfiguration professor-in-training upon the departure of Minerva McGonnagal.
Personality: For you guys to find out; however very much alike Luna in the films/books. ^^

History: Geoffrey Cleaver was born in 1989 to a wizard, Edmund and a witch, Mary Cleaver who lived on the outskirts of Canterbury. The Cleavers were a long standing pure-blood family who believed in their 'noble rights' as pure-bloods over hybrid wizards, Muggle-borns and Muggles themselves. Though the family was smart enough to keep their mouths shut on this matter, they were staunch supports of Lord Voldemort since the First Wizarding War. Geoffrey was born during the intermission between the First and Second Wizarding Wars, when days were more peaceful...but harder on those who had supported the Dark Lord. His father Edmund had worked in the Department of Magical Creatures while his mother worked as a store owner, The Cleaver's Library, which held all sorts of books on various histories of the wizarding world. Edmund would be arrested when Geoffrey was five years old; his mother lost her sanity from losing her husband and fearing the loss of her only child and was sent to St Mungo's due to her mental instability. The young boy would be raised by his Uncle, William Cleaver, who lived in London at the time. His Uncle was similar to his parents in ideals and loyalties, thus Geoffrey was set up to be raised in this culture. William taught his nephew everything about being a Death Eater and to be proud of his noble heritage as a pure-blood. When he finally turned 12, Hogwarts sent its invitation to go to wizarding school there, which William gladly paid for, knowing this would send his nephew in the right direction to come.
Special Ability:Metamorphmagi - At a young age and perhaps infancy, Geoffrey's parents noticed how their son could change the color of his hair at will, depending upon the child's mood. At first, they didn't know what it was, but thanks to Edmund's studies, they learned that Geoffrey was a Metamorphmagi, a rare ability that allowed him to change his appearance at will. Finding someone to help Geoffrey understand his ability was hard as Metamorphmagi were very rare to encounter. However, they managed to get their son a personal trainer, a long time friend by the name of Jasper, who was a well known person in the studies of rare wizard abilities. When Geoffrey's father was taken away and his mother sent to St. Mungo's, William re-employed Jasper and, together, helped Geoffrey in mastering his ability. Currently, the boy can change his hair and eye color, as well as his nose, mouth and ears. Though he has managed to change his appearance slightly, Geoffrey is not able to hold it for long. He hopes that at Hogwarts he can learn more on this ability and on how to master it fully.
Personality: Like his parents, Geoffrey learned to keep his mouth shut about ranting upon hybrids and spitting on Muggle-borns. He knew it would help him live longer than being sent to Azkaban like his father. However, he is naturally more respectable to those of similar pure-blood lineage. The boy is well-mannered and polite; a sort of mask to hide who he really is. He enjoys finer clothing, a sort of habit he picked up from William, who is a rich wizard and rewarded his nephew for his efforts in learning. Geoffrey was a smart boy, learning quickly from his parents and later his Uncle. However, Geoffrey can be some what of an arrogant child when it comes to knowing things, especially about magical creatures.

History: Lance is an orphan of the war against Voldemort's supporters and was raised in Ireland. His parents were both pure bloods with long and distinguished histories. Lance's parents supported Voldemort faithfully after he came back to power. Thry were both killed in the climatic Battle of Hogwarts. Lance had in the meantime been raised at his Uncle's house learning some of the family's history and basic knowledge. Upon the knowledge of his parent's deaths he
grew bitter and withdrawn.
Personality/Appearance: Lance is a very booksmart yet physically active boy. He is almost arrogant yet good at making friends. A rather tall child Lance has blue eyes and light brown hair. He loves hiatory especially that dealing with wars. He avidly studies curses and hexes and charms while neglecting the other magics. A very pragmatic and distant person Lance none the less does feel empathy. He is very distant at times and is sometimes called cold. His temper is a cold one and he seeks to manipulate his enemies and gain the advantage before the duel. His parents deaths have left him a bitter and withdrawn boy. No one knows how he will turn out.

Wand: 10¾" vine wood, with a dragon heartstring core
Appearance: A slightly plump boy, he has a round face, deep blue eyes and dark brown, shaggy hair. He is tall for his age, yet always afraid of physical confrotations.
History: The only son of an engineer and an artist from Central London, Henry lived a simple childhood, disturbed only by the sparse manifestations of his natural talent for magic, which in time allowed him to be admited as a muggle student in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, at his 11th birthday. As he was born and raised as a muggle, he is entirely ignorant of the Magic world and it's differences from the muggle one, which would seem natural to any pure of half blood student.
Personality Henry is quiet boy, more confortable among books than between other boys. He enjoys nature and plants, with which he feels a special bond, a quality that makes him proficient as a herbalist and potion maker. However, some would also regard him as unambitions, happy as long as knowledge and books are available for him. Despite his initial shyness when dealing with people, he is a loyal friend and companion, and has a deep sense of protection towards those he holds dear.
Appearance: Lyonel is a a little bit taller than most of his age boys, he has a medium complexity, light brown hair and big oak colored eyes,
Personality: He's a passionate boy, smart and eager to learn. His father told him once that he should aim for the skies, and he does, he is a dreamer, and dreams of being an adventurer, just like the old pap. But he is known for making rash choices, and letting his emotions take control
History: Lio was raised by James Marygold, a pure blood wizard, tough he is the fruit of his relationship with a half blooded mage, making him 3/4 of magic blood. His mother died before he was 5 and he has not many memories of her, tough his father says that she was a sweet and loving woman.
He has been living on the run since then, never staying in a place for more than 2 weeks. James is a "explorer" likes he like to tell his son, and his search has made them travel around the world. Armenia, Greece, Egypt, Mauritania, you could name a country and there was a big possibility that the Marygold had visited it. Lyonell has learned a lot of the magic world from this, yet he does not understand why his father has started this "Odyssey", he has promised to tell him someday, yet every time Lio asks he shows reluctant to answer...
The Sorting Hat was placed on the young man's head.. Humming loudly to the whole hall the hat spoke only to the boy, "Pure wizard blood.. I can sense the smell of glory within you, and the house to take you on that path is obvious. Yet within you I can feel goodness and a quest for justice, and a sound of longing.. This is a most difficult task, most difficult indeed.." There was an anxious pause, "Gryffindor!"

Length: 15 inches Core: Dual, Phoenix tail feather intertwined with Dragon heart-string Wood: Yew, fashioned from the wood taken from a Staff of a Druid Finishing: Finished with a handle resembling that of a dagger hilt
This wand is perhaps the only wand which has a history of being passed down through generations of a wizard family. The wand makes allegiance to the bloodline, rather than the victor. Should the current master be utterly defeated in a duel or in event of death, the wand immediately shifts it's allegiance to the next kin related by blood.
Percival was born somewhere in Germany, the exact location unknown. He was educated in Durmstrang school of magic. He left school midway in his seventh year and after coming of age. He joined his father in his wandering and continued after his demise too. It is unknown why Percival kept wandering even after his father's demise.
Son of Lysander Alan Black. Lysander Black was born in Scotland. After the early demise of his mother, he was home schooled by his father. It is never known why he never settled there or kept wandering across the continent. Speculation has it that it had something to do with Lord Voldemort. What it really was, he kept it a secret even from his own son. He was killed in a duel. More speculation has it that it was a Death Eater or Lord Voldemort itself who killed him.
Grandson of Alan William Black. Formerly known as Alan Wilhelm Schwarz. Born somewhere in Eastern Prussia. He was known to be the closest captain of Gellert Grindelwald. Possibly believed to have fallen out of favor for his refusal to murder Albus Dumbledore. His demise is still not exactly known, and has more speculations.

Dont be fooled by the plain exterior of this wand the magic that is within is quite powerful and if used properly can be quite deadly. This wand establishes a deep connection between wand and master. the wands loyalty is unwavering, It is only by the death of the master will the wand switch its alliegence

Biography: Dominick was raised by his mother and step-father in Brooklyn New York, never knowing his real father. Dominick has always been a smart kid. He was raised to be a leader, not a follower, but it seems he prefers being there to support his friends. He sticks up for kids that were bullied in his neighborhood but is fine with fighting for his friends. He used to get in trouble in school for being a clown but has always excelled in his studies. An honors student with a quick mind, he is quick on his feet but has always loathed studying. Then he got the call from Hogwarts. Coming from a muggle family he could not wait to get started. Shortly after receiving word from Hogwarts, he also received a chest at his doorstep with his first years supplies (which he began readin immediately) and a letter. Under the letter was some more money, this was for his wand and the letter said only "I am so very proud of you, Your Father"
The Sorting Hat was placed on the young man's head.. Humming loudly to the whole hall the hat spoke only to the boy, "One who has a hatred of school yet excels at it, well well.. But yet you come from a family that certain parts of this school would despise, perhaps it would be a learning experience. Ahum, ahum.. I KNOW, RAVENCLAW!"

Biography: Born in the heart of Rural England (Buckinghamshire to be precise), Abigail is the muggle-born daughter of James and Mary Petunia. As a child, she was exposed and introduced into James and Mary's world of Gardening, which they fanatically loved. They participated in the Chelsea Flower Show, among other horticultural shows and societies. This soon rubbed off onto Abigail - and to this very day, her life is centred solely around the activity of Horticulture. So when it came to go to Hogwarts, she inevitably became a top class student in Herbology, marvelling and enjoying the magical side of Plants and Gardens. Following her graduation, she lived once more with her parents, cultiviating both her home garden, and herself participating in her parent's horticultural shows. It was only after the Second Wizarding War when Abigail decided to return to the Wizarding World, after spending a great deal of time as a successful independent gardener, and a florist on occasion. This continued when she returned to Wizardry, beginning the cultivation of her own orchards, blossoming with magical roots. With the absence of the old Herbology Professor, Abigail hopes to step into that role, and finally combine her world of Horticulture, with that of Magic.
Personality: A kind hearted girl, Abigail represents the fine qualities of the house of Hufflepuff, and indeed her actions are very much like that of Helga Hufflepuff herself.
Appearance: Akin to the image. Quite pretty.
Wand: Birch wood, Augurey Feather core, 15 Inch.
House: Hufflepuff

"Only Connect!...Only connect the prose and the passion, and both will be exalted, and human love will be seen at its height. Live in fragments no longer."
Weatherby Wiggins is the son of Artemis and Penelope Wiggins. His father Artemis, a wizard with clerical duties in the Ministry of Magic, disappeared during the Second Wizarding War under mysterious circumstances, with no traces of him seen since. Penelope has since raised Weatherby by herself along with his younger siblings.
Artemis Wiggins worked in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement before his disappearance. His responsibilities amounted largely to bookkeeping, and because of his rather uncritical work, he was sometimes farmed out as manpower on raids by the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office to reacquire magical items that slipped into circulation amongst the Muggle population. While he never displayed the fondness and interest for Muggles of his supervisor, Arthur Weasley, Artemis was loyal to the man and was an outspoken supporter of his policies as "the right way to go about things". During the Second Wizarding War, Artemis vanished after the Pius Thicknesse seized the office of Minister of Magic. Friends and family of the Wigginses claim that Artemis was an inevitable victim of Voldemort's puppet regime, being a supporter of pro-Muggle policies and known Potter accomplices. This party fears the worst, assuming that Artemis was tortured for information on Potter's whereabouts, and disposed of soon after. Penelope Crow is a Muggle-born witch, and many believe it to be a vengeful killing for his choice of wife.
Others, however, are less-than-convinced over the circumstances. Some claim that Artemis was a lackey for Voldemort, a simple spy that outlived his use when Thicknesse took over; others go one further, suggesting that Artemis was indeed a Death Eater, operating behind the scenes of Thicknesse' regime, and abandoning his family when it became clear that Voldemort had been defeated.
Penelope was silent throughout the entire ordeal, fueling the flames of those decrying the Wiggins name. Further, she left her children in the care of her sister, a Muggle, for more than a week around the Battle of Hogwarts; where she went, and whether she participated in the battle or not (presumably against the Death Eaters, given her blood status) is still unknown, as Penelope still has not broken her vow of silence concerning Artemis and the War.
Weatherby, subject to as many accusations that his father was a Death Eater as condolences as a murder victim, is unsure of his place in the world. He has a habit of growing testy and defensive when his family's honor is questioned, but otherwise finds Hogwarts the perfect escape from the gloomy environment his household has taken in the past year.
Appearance: Weatherby has a crop of black hair, cold blue eyes, and a narrow face.
Ah! There's Black blood in you. Most of them went into Slytherin, of course, but there was that one who went into Gryffindor. I sense more of the latter in you! I think this house might be the best for you, it will instill virtues that would help you grow and flourish. I will send you to...GRYFFINDOR!!
Ralph Twynmold Age: 12 Occupation: Student, First Year Ethnicity: Half-Blood ; American (Welsh & English Blood)
Height: 5 feet. Build: Thin but Agile Hair: Dark Brown, almost shoulder-length Eyes: Muted Green
Takes a lot from his mother, Isibilla, who was from the Most Noble and Ancient House of Black.
Length: 12 inches Core: Unicorn Tail Wood: Cedar, taken from a California Incense Cedar tree, pliable Finishing: A small set of feathers hang off the end tied by small leather straps, with beads set on the feathers.
Ralph's wand is young, and taken from a particular genus of Cedar trees that hasn't had its effects recorded yet. It was made for him at birth, and bound to him as soon as it was made, as it is in the traditions on the west coast of North America.
Ralph is a Half-blood, descended from the House of Black on his mother's side, and thus a distant relative of the Sirius Black. He was raised single-handedly by his muggle-born father in California, where he attended one year at Chrysopylae before coming to Hogwarts.
The Noble House of Twynmold
The House of Twynmold were once great wizards, but due to a feud with the House of Black, were forced from their homeland in Wales and the British Isles during the 1700's, and relocated to the United States.
Their wizarding blood dwindled, the seed became weak, until eventually all were squibs, and thus the House became muggle. Ralph's father is believed to have received his wizard blood from his maternal grandparents, and thus from another wizard house. Nevertheless, the Noble House of Twynmold is back. The name "Twynmold" is believed to be derived from an ancient but now-forgotten Welsh name. The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black
The House of Black was considered wizard royalty when it came to the supposed pureness of their blood, but the name has become synonymous with incest, pure-blood fanaticism, and kin-slaying, and far beyond controversial. Like Sirius Black, her distant cousin, Ralph's mother Isibilla was disowned from the family; She died not long after Ralph's birth.
Ralph's Parents
Ralph's father, Earle Twynmold, was a wizard naturalist and muggle-born, while his mother was a witch from the House of Black. Earle attended the "Wizarding University of Chrysopylae", which is a young school, founded in the 18th century, situated beneath the surface of the Golden Gate straight north of San Francisco proper. Chrysopylae specialized in naturalism and herbology, as North America's west-coast wizarding world has a very large emphasis and focus on magical forests, and their understanding, maintaining, and harnessing. Ralph never knew his mother, as she died young during the wars of Voldemort, killed by her kin, Bellatrix Lestrange.
Chrysopylae
(Obviously I made this up. I hope that's alright.)
The Wizarding University of Chrysopylae is named after the Golden Gate straight it sits in.
The magical qualities of the school are of the usual traits, such as unplottability; but one interesting fact is that its version of the San Francisco Bay is the way the Europeans first found it, heavily forested and flourishing with Native American tribes. This is no illusion; a magical version of the Ohlones people still exists in this hidden version of the Bay, along with magical versions of the forests, full of magical species of animals. Thus the University is known for its herbology, naturalism, care of magical animals, wizarding history, and languages. Students are even required to spend set amounts of time with the natives to pass the second year and onwards.
Chrysopylae starts their students a year earlier than Hogwarts, having eight years.
Pre-Hogwarts
Ralph was raised by his father, and was often following his father on his treks into deep into magical forests, working for the Chrysopylae Foresting Department as a wizard-forester and a so-called "warden of the trees". However, the forests of the New World are relatively peaceful and mundane as compared to the dangers that await those who venture into the dark forests around Hogwarts.
At the age of 10, like most young wizards in California, he was set to enter a school, specifically Chrysopylae, like his father. He spent his first year there, and decided, with long deliberation between he and his father, that he would transfer into Hogwarts in the United Kingdom to experience another wizarding community the next year.
He is however, still considered a first year, as Chrysopylae's first year is a year before Hogwart's first year; Chrysopylae has eight years, not seven.
