    I think this element of the game should be made much more basic. We have basic, set incomes and money flow revolves around any sort of player generated shops.

    Honestly I think that we almost don't need incomes for this game.

    The only reason I would deal with it is if there are people who want to own shops. If nobody wants to we can drop economy altogether.

    Why can't players do both? For instance, run a shop via assistant.

    I'm pretty much going to do away with the economy system unless there is outcry from players who really want to do shops.

    Doing only shops would restrict players to something like a path. It is also restrictive in nature and keeps them away from the action.
    I meant why not ask players if they want to keep shops as additional stuff.

    No it wouldn't. They wouldn't be restricted by anything other than their own lack of RP. I don't want to open a shop, I have no interest in having a shop, but if other people think it is a necessary part of preserving or creating the atmosphere of the game, I wouldn't deny them the opportunity to RP that aspect
