I used a download manager as the standard firefox and IE downloads didn't work (just dc about 500-800 mb downloaded)

Firefox or IE would stop at 70MB for me, but chrome seems to be doing fine.....

OK, Darth asked to create torrent with the right name - DME (there is no longer DMUC). Old torrent still works, but official one will be posted as attached below.

For me it doesn't matter what browser I use, it still stops the download around the 75k kb range. I really want to try this out, so any tips would be helpful.

some questions

have you uninstalled the original DMUC files?
did you make sure you had a clean install of ETW (simplest way after uninstalling DMUC is verify your game files via steam)
check your script folders?, C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Empire\scripts


make sure you have the user.dme_script, and no others

Averaging around 5 kB/s. Even peaked at 10 a few times..and the download from Strategy Informer doesn't work for me..it doesn't finish the download and won't install..even though it says it finished.

Old torrent should be faster - I see 30 seeders and 76 peers total in the swarm... New one will be slow for some time though.

im not having trouble, about 27 mins it said d/load speed and it completed in about 32 mins.

I think they have limits for each country. In the morning it was fine but i had to cancel the download and now i can't pass 150kbps.

Downloading from UK it took 30 minutes no problem at all.Its more about your internet provider and its speed rather than anything to do with the site etc, plus sunday is always a busy day on the web .
