    Default Quite annoying bug

I'm playing as the Western Roman Empire and can't be at war for at least more then 1 turn with the Eastern Roman Empire.

So in other words it's impossible to take over cities or be really at war with this faction.

I don't got this bug when being the Eastern Roman Empire fighting the Western Roman Empire.

I hope this can be fixed or someone being able to tell me how to fix this myself.

It could be a script that forces an alliance, I've seen them before in other RTW mods because the AI is generally too stupidly berserk not to betray a perfectly good alliance.

If there's a campaign script file you could start checking there.

Well I am not in an alliance with them anymore they just go neutral again each time they or I attack after 1 turn.

I wouldn't know where to look or what to do to fix this so yeah..

Hopefully someone who knows how this mod works or is part of the creation of the mod knows how to solve this.

We recommend that you play without activating the script. That should solve your problem.

Wouldn't this stop the 6 turns per year? Or have any other effect on the game if the script isn't activated?

Edit: Tried what you suggested and it worked BUT the advisor kept asking to activate it each time I hit a city or my faction symbol.

I don't call that a real fix because it creates another sort of bug. (The advisor keeping asking to activate it. Which is highly annoying.)

Is there no other way? If not I'm

Unfortunately the script is somewhat buggy, and therefore we recommend that people play without activating it.

Sorry, there's no other way. And you'll get used to the advisor popping up, at least I did. It's a small price to pay for a stable campaign.

We're currently working on the new version of this mod, now renamed to RVINA ROMAE, and therefore we do not work on IBFD anymore. We simply don't have the manpower for it, so we've opted to work on the new campaign rather than trying to fix small bugs in the old one.

I see and understand that. This new mod will be released in this forum and be exactly like the current mod? In terms of units, buildings, factions, etc... Start date of campaign.

Do you have an estimate on when this mod will be released?

Yes, it will be released here. And it will have the same settings, but feature new units, new buildings and some new factions etc.

    No, afraid not.

I never found a way to activate a script if it's anything like other mods like Europa Barbarorum. I can click on anything I want and the advisor never pops up. Did I do something wrong?

I did install it on a 1.6 BI clean install.

EDIT: SAI had it though if I recall correctly.

Not sure the following is a bug to:

I now play as the Eastern Roman Empire and all my settlements with no general - family member in it turn to automanage everything. I ticked all that off the first turn, next turn its all back on. O_O

I don't plan on monitoring each city if it made new units and what new buildings it made. That is just lame.

Is there a fix to this?

If I recall correctly, that is one of the bugs within the script of the current version, 7.03 (which dates from 2007). The solution is to turn the script off. That's why I eagerly wait for 8.0: the mod is really great, but there are things like that, which were left, I'd say, "unresolved".

It is my intention to use only a very minimalist script for V8.

If that solves the problems encountered in 7.03, the better. I mean, the guys of Fourth Age, Viking Invasion II and Norman Invasion don't like to use scripts, and even so, they produce awesome mods.
