Hi.

Can someone please give me an advice how to get rid of a worm? The worm in question is Brontok.Q.1. . It multiplies all over my system and scanning and deleting it with antivirus doesn’t work because it appears again. I’m using Avira Free edition and yesterday I downloaded SPYDIG, but also with no success in deleting the worm. I’m using Windows XP operating system. Step by step instructions would be much appreciated.

Reinstalling the Windows is not much of an option because I don’t want to lose some of the files I have.

Try to run something like Malwarebytes in safe mode.

I was so wrong. Yesterday it appeared again. I tried to delete it again, I even turned off System Restore (that way it could reappear), deleted all my browsers history, cookies... , deleted all my temporary files but still no success. Can somebody give me more advices please?
