The spearmen are ordered to enter a standard one line formation. The archers are to make a line Infront of them and fire upon the enemy, however when the enemy get too close they are to retreat. The heavy infantry shall be deployed on the wings, with the Varangian Axemen in reserve in the center. The boyars shall be deployed on the right wing, in case the enemy should launch their light cavalry at the Army.

Rolf mounts his stallion and rides in front of his deployed men.
Today, we kill men. But not just any men. Rancid, dog worshipping, pig shagging Pagans! That's right! This is a war in the name of God, and the Lord shall deliver us to victory! These are no warriors. These are simple farmers and herders, but heretics all. Any man should count himself a inept fool if he falls to one of these Heathens! The pagans were so charged with religious fervour. That they believed their gods would protect them, so they sounded a general advance towards the massive German line.

Standing with the Duke's infantry, in the Army of Saxony, Publius prepares for the engagement as the enemy forces advanced. He tightens his grip on his seven flanged mace, and holds his shield close. He notices the men next to him ready, and the guy directly next to him pisses, and it sprays on Publus' leg. He shakes his head but remains vigilant. He was ready to spill pagan blood

The Saxon infantry charge, with the boyars keeping pace. The German archers fire on the Pagan troops.

Publius continued to pump his legs forward, the Saxon infantry running right next to him. He could see the Pagan troops getting bigger with every step, until they were visisbly full form, he held his mace by the top to run easier, and with less obstructron. His shield he had snug to his left forearm as he kept his eyes on the prize. He remembers seeing another arrow volley pass overhead and strike down numerous of the Pagans running at him. He still stood a line behind, as two guys infront of him kept up pace. But he would be oine of the first in the thick of the fighting! The enemy drew closer and he slowly inched his right hand down the shaft of his mace, and prepared to strike an initial blow with his shield on his other arm, either through a bash or a swipe. It was do or die, and he would begin his epic journey today, or see a swift end to it, he thought to himself...

Rolf roared as he ran in with his retinue, smashing a mans head in with his blade as the charge collided with the enemy.

Meanwhile...

Publius sees the two infront of him clash and then he does, quick swiping a pagan soldier with his shield. He jabs another in the face, with his mace head, where a point penetrates the foes eye. He then swings upwards full swing right into the mans groin. Then he finishes with a shield bash face shot on the mans head. As the man flew backwards, he takes a full over down cut with his mace right on another foes helmet, and sees a pour of blood down all over his face. He let's out a loud battle cry, then takes a full strength swing to the side of a fourth foes head, and near breaks his neck sending his foe to the ground. He then walks over him and kicks off the loose helmet before taking another full downcut swing smashing in his foes face into a bloody pulp, as he spits on his finished foe. Then he sees an enemy jabbing a spear into one of his Saxon allies, and he full swings to the mans back and as the man archs back from the blow, then Publius takes a full dead on swing with his mace right into the mans exposed face and smashes it in, as his foe drops right back to the ground lifeless. The second Pagan soldier holding the Saxon now dead as he was impaled by a spear let's the dead soldier go, and attempts to stop a full swing from Publius but is unable to and the strike crushes in the side of the mans helm and he falls sideways to his knees. Publius takes his mace in both hands and jabs the man in the exposed throat, then laughs maniacly in the bloodlust of the moment and he bashes the mans face in 10 times leaving nothing but scattered skull and brain fragments before he looks around for a 7th foe to kill and continues on his bloody rampage...

After seeing the lines of infantry collide, Wrangel (AKA the black baron) looks over his Boyars and lowers his lance and shouts
