Default Consider Replacing Your Battery Question?

Hello I have a laptop thats about 3 years old now and just got the consider replacing your battery symbol I did a command prompt and found out in energy report.html

    Battery:Last Full Charge (%)
The battery stored less than 40% of the Designed Capacity the last time the battery was fully charged.

    Battery ID 9396SANYOAS10B31
    Design Capacity 47520
    Last Full Charge 18976
    Last Full Charge (%) 39

I am wondering how long will the battery last? if it took 3 years to get below 40% do I still have a good amount of time left on this battery or should I replace soon?

Focus on does the battery life meets your needs? if yes, dont do anything, if no, go get another one.

beware that batteries when they leave the factory they start to degrade, so you are likely to get a degraded battery, i.e. around 80-90% of what it had initially.

Well I tend to use my laptop with the charger plugged in so meeting my needs isnt a huge issue I just am wondering how long 39% can last me or cause problems.

I have a 5 year old laptop, battery is now close to 10% - it only works for about 30 min.

I looked at replacement, but it's like $70, and so I am thinking of just getting a new laptop.
