Questions
Hi I'm new and have some questions:
1. I've extract the 1.5.1 patch in the CoW-Folder, but ingame it say's that I play with version 1.5. Is the patch working already or have i done something wrong? Any ideas?
2. Is it normal that the game crashes sometimes?
I've played only custom battles so far, but anyways some things I want to ask:
2. Where are my beloved wood elves?
3. Where are Giants and Demon Princes?
4. Are there dragons yet?
5. Can it be, that mages (at least the nightgoblin shaman) are way too strong? They kill the enemy army alone...
6. Same for some artillery. Way too strong in my opinion. Wouldn't it be better if they make half the damage (and therefore be much cheaper)?
7. Same for "the big ones" (Trolles and so on): They kill a unit iron breakers without casualties.
For campaign:
8. Is there a not-scripted sandbox campaign?
Please continue the great work! Excellent mod!

Re: Questions
Problem solved! 1.5.1: Check!
But now I have a different problem. I tried to add some submods. Therefore I extracted files from 3 sub-mods in my data folder.
Submods:
1. re-skinned settlements: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=384851
2. Battlefield buildings add-on: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=561093
3. New custom battle maps: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=423094
I extracted the files in this order in my data-folder. Now the game doesn't start anymore. At least the loading screen appears but then I'm directed back to desktop. What have I done wrong and what shall I do now? Weren't the submods suitable for V 1.5?
Please help!

Re: Questions
Well I know 2 mods from your 3 mods list work without problems, so I think you missextracted files.
When you download the mod best thing is to unpack it first so you can see what goes where not every mod has so to say "clean" instal.

Re: Questions
Hi Igor, did you install Gig's version 1.5, then patch from 1.51, then the three hotfixes. After that the battlefield buildings add-on? Also could you link your log (in the medieval2 folder) here. I don't think it's Reiks custom maps, and I know it's not the textures.

Re: Questions
Yeah I extracted it first on my desktop and then copied the data into the data-folder,... but no use. Which of the 3 mods are working without problems?
Is there a quick possibility to make the Mod to work again? reinstalling is so much effort. an only the last option.

Re: Questions
Only options are the building mod or wrong installation are causing it, I doubt the custom maps cause it, and I'm sure it's not the textures. Can you send the report here so I can see it?
MedievalII/logs.

Re: Questions
I would, but in my Medieval 2 folder is no such file/folder called "log". Only "logo"-files.
Also I can't find a system.log.txt file. Suggestions?

Re: Questions
Have it. Wasn't in the main directory, but under AppData/Local.
Found 2 logs. Don't know which is the right one, so I've attached all of them. The warhammer-log in zip, because it was to big.

Re: Questions
Ok, download the attached file, and put it in your MEdievalII/mods/Rage_of_dark_gods/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign folder.
That might do the trick, please report if it worked.

Re: Questions
I put your file in MedievalII/mods/Call_Of_Warhammer/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign, which should be your intention. I overwrite the existing file with your new one, but the problem remains: Loading screen and then Desktop

Re: Questions
Do you have MedievalII/mods/Call_of_Warhammer? If so, I think you have the official version of the mod, and the buildings mod is build for Gig's "localized" version.
This version:
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=525138
It creates path: mods/Rage_of_darkgods/...

Re: Questions
Yeah I have Call of Warhammer! Haven't known that there is another?!? Which of these two versions shall I take?
Anyway: So this building mod is the cause? And how can I fix it / delete the bad files?

Re: Questions
Yes it's a bit confusing, there is another version of the mod, in the link I posted, and Vette earlier.
I suggest you download it, it's easy tons of seeder via torrent, english voices/text implemented, among other content.
The submod indeed is the cause, if you check the thread, it explaind for what version it is for, and it's not for the one you have. I can't really help since I don't have the official version currently.

Re: Questions
So you recommend to delete my current Version and install the other one?

Re: Questions
Yes, I would recommend that. For example Reik's fantasy submod, and others too will come for that one, it has a bit different files than the russian version, it's more localized one. Also when installing submods, I would recommend always making backups of the oldfiles, just in-case
