The pictures were taken on a private estate, without consent. The press had no business there and hence, they're getting their asses sued off. Most people would do that if some perv took a photo of them and published it. Seems like a clear cut case, not really related to Diana or other irrelevant stuff.

People aren't realizing that she was being naked on her private residence and the press broke into her private sphere and took photos of her. I doubt people would complain so much if someone took a picture of you when you were showering naked in your own home, because that's what it is. If she had done it in some public area, then it would be her fault. But she didn't, she was naked for a moment in a place she legally resides in, far from any neighbours.
