The mods have noticed some people wondering about how nobles/warriors can request a part of the income from their lands. After a discussion among the mods, we have made 4 percentages that can be asked by land owners. These will be the set incomes that you can ask for from your provinces each term.
Percentages
20%: Nothing happens. The people and nobles will not care about this percentage taken out.
33%: This has the possibility of causing a small revolt, but only on rare occasions (1 out of 50 chances). For the most part, discontent and riots will happen due to upset peasants. The nobles will remain quiet and not declare rebellion. However, these riots can damage cities and cause harm. It would be best to put this down by force or compensation before they can turn into revolts.
50%: This large percentage of income can cause a peasant revolt with the possibility of noble support or just noble discontent. If a noble takes 50% of the land income, rolls will be made of how many peasants are revolting. Over time, if this rebellion is not purged immediately, rolls will be done to show an increase in peasant numbers and possible nobles joining the revolt if the revolt begins without noble support.
75%: This much income taken from the land by a noble can risk major repercussions. This can result in a massive peasant revolt (backed by various nobles) and/or revolt by the nobility. This can also risk characters losing land to rebellious armies. If a noble takes 75% of the land income, rolls will be made if a peasant and/or noble revolt will happen. Once this happens, rolls will be made showing numbers that are revolting against their leading noble (Count, Duke, Margrave, etc.)
If you take 100% of the income, this can be very very dangerous towards your provinces and your character's life. This will immediately result in an outright noble and peasant rebellion of great magnitude. This can likely cause your character to die suddenly as well. It is best not to take this much income for this can cause a rebellion close to the tens of thousand strong (highest possibility: 20,000 - 30,000 revolting peasants in a single province alone)
An Example:
Person Z has Provinces A, B, and C. Person Z asks for 20% of income from Province A, no consequences. Province B is asked for 33%, troops are sent to contain the riots and peace is restored. Province C is asked for 75%, revolt is imminent. Mods will do the necessary rolls before the revolt begins.
Thank you for your time,
