The Coronation of the First King of Bohemia, In The Year 1001 since the Birth of Christ
The Crown of Bohemia
The Crowning of Boleslau I, King of Bohemia
Church bells rang throughout the Imperial City of Prague as today was an auspicious and glorious day for the Holy Roman Empire and the Bohemian family, the z Lotrinskes. Within the city, a grand procession of the Emperor, the future King of Bohemia, the Royal Family of Bohemia and many lords of the Empire moved through the Imperial City towards St. Vitus' Cathedral. Here, the Emperor, Otto III alongside the Archbishop of Prague, Vladislaus the Moravian, stood present with the recently crafted Crown of Bohemia also known as The Golden Crown of Boleslau I as Boleslau walked down the isle. Present there was also his future in-laws, the Piast family of Poland. Boleslaw I, Duke of Poland, stood with the immediate family of Boleslau...as well as the King's fiancee, Regelinda, a young girl of twelve years, along with those of Boleslaw's Polish family. The coat of arms of the z Lotrinske family stood proud against the royal crest of the Kingdom of Bohemia. Boleslau III, now known as Boleslau I of Bohemia, came forth in grand robes and clothing suited for a King. He came forth to the altar of St. Vitus where the Archbishop of Prague and His Imperial Majesty, Otto III stood. The imposing Bohemian shifted his long robes and knelt before the the Moravian Archbishop and his liege. His head knelt as Boleslau was ready to accept the crown.
