How to boost wifi speed
Hi
here is the problem- i recently moved to new place because of the school, so i got mobile internet from local service provider. I use huawei e3131 to access internet (set in NDIS mode, other option is RAS (modem)). So, the thing is, i have locked it into WCDMA network and signal is frankly very good: about 92 percent for most of the time, but sometimes it can drop to 0 for non-apparent reason. But- download speed is very weak: less than 1 Mb/s for most of the time or it bounces up and down so the speed graph looks like heartbeat monitor. Now, i know that the tower, internet is connecting to is capable of getting 21 Mb/s as max speed, but at least 2Mb/s even with weak reception and it should be smallest download speed. So it means i should be able to watch any stream without any interruptions and yet during streams it sometimes even cuts off the connection- to 0! and best thing: reception is still excellent and connection is still running. point is- i barely get stable speed when watching stream and even that could easily fall off and i only get 50-30 kb/s when playing online games like GTA sa-mp servers, wich is only good for one thing: making me very angry
Now, please tell me, what could be the problem? and does anyone have idea of why it does that: can reception icon decieve me by saying i have very good reception while my PC is blocking it or something?
i know these might be dumb questions, but i am all out of ideas
