OOC: i plan to circumvent that by stipulation of setting them free by making them swear an oath of allegiance to house ashford. part of the oath is that they will be cared and treated as freemen and after 12 years of service are allowed to either go about their way or remain in my service. they can also be rewarded with riches and they dont have to pay for their own equipment, clothes or food. i would award their families too but because they are eunuchs they wont have children. they will also be taught to read and write when not training and can be promoted to positions of command if they excel as individuals. they also carry prestige and reputation of being an elite fighting force.

It's not upkeep time yet, but I wanted to make sure you knew you had to pay upkeep on them. As for the unsullied, it's still up to the King whether he counts that as slavery, and it's up to the mods what you pay in upkeep.

lets keep in mind that i'm giving them a lot more than what they would have got if some guy essos bought them. i brought them over to westeros from a place where they were treated like garbage. and that i paid 100,000 gold for 6000 men.
