extremely laggy main menu

Okay so I've had shogun 2 for about two months now And for hte past weeks the main menu has been hounding me. Somehow Shogun2's main menu for me started taking too long to load and have occasional 5-10 second or more freezes albeit not needing to end task as it continues to run after that freezing period. It wasn't like this before though. When I had purchased FoTS then my main menu was running smoothly - The backdrop of the Boshin period setting that continuously runs in the main menu never freezes.

This bug/problem is quite the hassle and frustrating as when I try to join a friends team via invite s2 forces me back to the main menu for a bit just to team up with him and ill have to wait 10-20 seconds again before being able to join. Worse I get connection timedouts and have to retry joining his team again.

Is anyone else experiencing this? In my theory low spec cpus are suffering from this now but im kinda SMH because inever experienced this before.. did CA put in a new update or new graphics technology into the game in the past week?

This Bug started last week if I go on the Start Screen (Menü) to the Graphic Options and back the game freezes for 5-10 seconds than run normal again! If I go to historical battles and back the game freezes,too! It feels like a unfinished game and never ending bugs!

Yeah, mine started doing that too. Any time I go back to the main menu, the game freezes for 5 to 30 seconds before returning to normal and allowing me to continue.

It seems to me that it began when they started the "Battles" advertisements at the bottom left corner.

Yeah, I got that too, I blame their patch, just like their patches made the graphics worse. They shouldn't break more things than they fix.

just ran my s2 after reading the articles.. main menu feels faster now anyone feel it too? thanks CA. Ill post updates.. gonna test run my s2 for a bit.
