Hey guys, I'm going to be offering an introductory programming course using Visual Basic starting in the coming weeks. If you're interested, let me know. If you're unsure, keep reading!
Course Objectives
The objectives of my course are simple, to instill you with a confidence in not only Visual Basic and the Microsoft development suite, but programming as a whole. Being able to think like a programmer is a fundamental first step in moving forward and I believe VB provides a great learning environment for that. Speaking of which, I'm sure you're wondering
Why Visual Basic?
Well, for starters, Visual Basic is a modern, high level language that is not only powerful but relatively easy to learn. Don't be intimidated by it's classification as a "high level language", the lower you go, the closer you are to computer-speak. This course is aimed at the crowd with very little or no prior coding experience.
There will be ten classes that consist of a brief lesson followed by an assignment making use of covered materials. I know that this may seem ambitious for a TWCU course, but give me one or two weeks per assignment and I will make coders out of you.
