My thoughts? It's enforced multiculturalism, on a majority who didn't ask for it, so it's wrong.
We had a similar thing here. A town offered to house and support and give jobs to some Sudanese. Within a year every single male had been fired for sexual harrassment in the workplace, and the town declared they would take no more Sudanese. The media response? ''Racists''.
Yeah. Doesn't mean it's particularly fantastic for the people in this town. From what was said in the video, it has brought negatives, not positives. Which I would say is normally the case. I mean look at the racial issues in America - it isn't all good. And I'd say America has more blatant racists than anywhere else in the Western world as a result - some of the comments I see on other forums by Americans are just....
''Multiculturalism is wonderful! We get to eat all sorts of exotic foreign foods!'' doesn't quite cut it when ethnic hostilities and grievances start rearing their ugly heads.
This thread is about refugees in Maine, not Australia.
Really? Because in the actual video there's a guy who says quite clearly that he thinks it brought positives. And then another guy who says it's a safe place to live. But he was black so we probably shouldn't believe him. From what was said in the video, it has brought negatives, not positives.

Put them in NY, Oakland or LA, somewhere used to having dozens of different neighborhoods and can handle it.
Maine? No one lives there except for the northern equivalents of Jo Bob and Bubba and Steven King.
Also, does it snow in Somalia? I hope they learn to really like snow.
Maybe we should just put them in camps where they could be concentrated together. You know, for their own protection and productivity.
Maine? You mean overwhelmingly liberal and Democratic Maine? My father has lived in Maine for several decades now, and as an extremist conservative he has a huge persecution and victimization complex living there.Maine? You mean like starting small businesses, getting educations, and forming organizations to learn about American traditions and laws?.... You haven't even watched the video, have you?It isn't. It's multiculturalism to expect them to carry on like they're living in Africa. Which is what the mayor complained about.

How is it multiculturalism to accept immigrants? The only person complaining in that video was the mayor. And he is a complete retard anyways. Did you not see not see the one of the residents saying the community had been positively impacted by the Somalians? I think your just blowing this "issue" (if there really is one) out of proportion.

The US isn't really multicultural except in large cities or on the border states. I wouldn't doubt that there would be tensions with east African migrants in a 96.6% white community.
