Too many Administrativly minded family members

Most of the guys I get are administrativily minded . I need more military minded members. How can I get them?

Maybe you were just unlucky for a while. You can also train administratively minded generals for the field, so I would not be bothered too much.

The administratively minded characters aren't completely unviable for military service and they don't get negative traits for fighting on the field. Military minded generals just get better with military stuff if they are recruited/come to age in a settlement with a school.

I know what you mean, tried a Genoa campaign, and all of my guys were terrible generals, but decent administrators. I think this can be fixed in about 2 generations of those lazy no good generals getting forced into the battlefield and winning battles, especially against the rebels - just use your generals cav and charge down the unit or 2 that has spawned, it will get them good traits for command for sure.

i don't know if it's true but i think family members in castles usually have militarily minded sons so you might try keeping some of your generals in castles. also as already said administratively minded generals don't always lack in command, they will gain military traits if you use them in the field.

Hehe, I was in the opposite situation in my last CS campaign: I had like 10 military minded FM and only 2 administratively minded.
