Default Laptop BSOD+ internet connectivity issues upon restarting restarting URGENT

This morning I turned my PC on to find that it started up with a blue screen

this is the end of the error message

    0xffffff800036aa174

I manually turned off the PC< started it with "Last know good config" it started up, flashed the bluescreen then the PC restarted it self. I ran normally and started a virus scan and found nothing a few hours later. I have no access to wi fi

I am checking the event viewer and one of the critical events is /driWUDFRD failed to load for the device USD/VID_138a&pid_0018/a094cf5cba9e

I recently installed a new intel chipset device software

I cannot do a system restore due to my system restore erasing all restore points without my knowledge/ was disabled I'm not sure, I did a restore for a drvier last week

Was the laptop shipped with a driver CD?
If yes, you should uninstall that chipset driver, and reinstall the old one that comes with the CD.

When you mean you have no access, does it mean that you can see networks, but can't connect to them, or that that your network card is not running at all?

HP comes with an onbaord driver reinstall the problem is the driver from intel is not showing up anywhere. I've also tried installing over it The network card is also not running at all

The best is probably to find what network card you are using, download the driver, wipe the existing one using something like driver sweeper in safe mode, and then install the new one.

I guess that would work, but there is the issue of my PC starting up with a blue screen whenever I restart. Unless I find out how uninstall that intel chipset driver, I will have no choice but to do a system full restore

depending on the OS, you can simply grab a copy of it in a CD, and boot from it, do a repair install from that CD.

Is there a way to revoke my Microsoft office activation before I system restore?

    Two requests and one question.

Please download BlueScreenViewer, install it if possible (you may need to try in Safe Mode), and give us the full error message you're getting on power up. I'll assume the BSOD is happening before POST - yes? We really need more info about your specific crash. The problem is that it sounds like you're being locked out upon POST. That's a very real problem and we need more info on the timing of the crash....

What anti-virus program are you using? If AVG please disable it and try again. That's been a reported problem in HP laptops recently. While you're at it please give us your DxDiag log. Thank you and good luck!

I'll have to do a restore within the hour but before i do Ill use bluescrenviewer and post here in about 10 minutes so see if there is another solution

I;m using norton internet security 2012. What is this problem with HP laptops?

Here are the files. My other question is what happens to my microsoft office activation that is already installed upon restore?

After looking at your info it seems that you have a memory issue. The problem is that it will be hard to tell if it's a hardware fault or a faulty third-party driver that is driving your bluescreen problem. What can be said with any definition - you have a kernel fault at [ntoskrnl.exe] at address [ntoskrnl.exe+7f1c0]. First step would be to thoroughly check you memory using Memtest. Give it a few scans and see if that's the cause. But I would say that's the least likely possibility....

If you really want an education on this problem search [IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL]. There are a lot of possibles there....

This is going to be a real bear to diagnose as there are just too many variables to look at. We will need to dial-in some more if you're going to get any help here.

A question - do you have AdvancedSystemCare installed on that computer?

Also I see you have a virtually mounted drive. What software are you using for that? Daemon Tools for example?

As to HP and Dell systems throwing this error - I found some references to faulty USB controllers for both manufacturers. Since they're both likely to use identical suppliers from time to time that may be where to look. I notice your DX log is not referencing a single controller but six individual USB receivers. I could be wrong but that looks suspect to me.

Lastly anti-virus has been labeled as a problem - uninstall Norton and install Microsoft Security Essentials instead. I'd like to know if this has any effect on the problem.

As it stands you say you're going to try a system restore to a previous point. I hope it works. Let us know if it doesn't. Good luck!

I had to do a factory restore due to time constraints, but here are some answers.

I do not have advancedsystemcare. I had tuneup utilities a while back but uninstalled it.

    I had daemmon tools.

I have a 4 USB port extention that i have been using for about 3 years.

Did the factory reinstall fix your problems? Are you sure that Daemon Tools is fully uninstalled with no Registry keys left behind?

    Lastly -

Try removing that USB extension hub and any drivers for it and try booting again. If you've been using the same extension for three years without problem it should be alright. But this kind of hardware also fits the profile you've given us. It's better safe-than-sorry - remove it and be sure it's not the cause of your trouble.

Does your current laptop pre-date that external USB hub?

No problems so far and the factory reinstall is at it should be. No, my laptop is about 5 months old.

Hopefully that factory reset holds and you have no more problems. It sounds like you had a corrupted driver somewhere. In any case a fresh install is a good idea. If the problem comes back let us know. Good luck!

When browsing, I'm noticing an ovrelap in the middle of my screen when using Google chrome. I remember having this issue a few months ago, but it disappeared strangely. IS there a way to fix this now?

I have no idea what's going on right now, but I've reinstalled skyrim twice and I seem to be missing core files. Texture quality for no reason is terrible, i get weird exclamation points everywhere with red boxes around them; like in the CK, and the came would CTD after 1 min.

I just did a disc reinstall and other games like Mount and blade have missing sounds and lower texture quality.

Quick questions while I mull over the rest - do you own the disc version of Skyrim or is download? Have you looked for firmware updates for your BluRay player?

I tried both downloading and installing from disk for Skyrim. I'll look into updatse for my bluray player now.

You have a number of problems that aren't easily identified. I'm still leaning towards a hardware driver that is either improperly installed or faulty hardware in this order - GPU, HDD and then optical drive. Even though you have run a factory reset on that system it would be beneficial to check all of those drivers.

First off run Windows Updater and makes sure the core files are up-to-date. Then try playing with the drivers for the hardware I mentioned. That may get you somewhere hopefully.

Lastly remove that USB hub and see if that has any effect on the system. At three years old it's verging on obsolete in computer years and may be a cause of your problems. Run nothing but the base laptop itself and see what you find. Good luck!

EDIT: After looking back I asked you to run Memtest. Have you done so? What were the results? That's also a prime place to look.
