Default Wall of American embassy in Cairo breached by students. American flag replaced.

Still breaking news. Supposedly nobody has been injured and Egyptian security forces are working to restore order like the last time this happened. Not to mention nobody wants a repeat of 1979.

Ill update the OP when more news becomes available. If that doesn't happen within 2 hours it means I have gone to work and will update this tomorrow.

A great day to remind Americans that we may not be a-okay with Muslim countries.

As I'm sure everyone forgot that?

The timing of this is just so distasteful... Other than that it's pretty meh. Non violent, and the reason behind it is the imminent premiere of a film made by that whackjob from Florida who decided burning Qur'ans was a patriotic duty. Basically, angry Christian fundamentalist burns other peoples' holy books and makes film filled with religious propaganda, angry Muslim fundamentalists burn American flags and demonstrate. Two opposing peoples both using free speech in the most base ways. Meanwhile, authorities in both the US and in Egypt facepalm.

According to BBC, the US flag was torn down and replaced by an Islamist banner.

9/11 and an Islamist banner in US embassy of Egypt, victory of Islamists?

The Libyan government notified the United States that an employee at the U.S. Consulate was killed, a State Department official told CNN.

I'm sure you will figure out a way to add your apologetics to it somehow.

This pretty much say everything. Although I'd say there's quite a few politicians in both countries who delight themselves from all the easy political stance to defend faith and country...

We should storm the Egyptian embassy in retaliation and fly women's undergarments from their flag pole.

Strange. Are you trying to imply that if "islamist banner" represents Egyptian nation, women under garments would be an American victory flag over Egyptian embassy? Think before you post.
"I have always held the religion of Muhammad in high estimation because of its wonderful vitality. It is the only religion which appears to me to possess that assimilating capacity to the changing phase of existence which can make itself appeal to every age. I have studied him - the wonderful man and in my opinion far from being an anti-Christ, he must be called the Saviour of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it the much needed peace and happiness: I have prophesied about the faith of Muhammad that it would be acceptable to the Europe of tomorrow as it is beginning to be acceptable to the Europe of today." Yes, flying women's undergarments would be an American victory flag over the Egyptian embassy.

I don't know if overrunning an embassy and replacing the flag of the country you are hosting with a an all too popular militant Islamist mantra, really falls under the definition of free speech.

Our free and democratic Libyan friends also stormed the US consulate in Benghazi.

For the same reason: a perceived insult against Mohamed via Jones's film.

Also, according to some reports, the consulate actually burnt down.
Once a political decision has been reached to proceed with internal disturbances in Syria, CIA is prepared, and SIS (MI6) will attempt to mount minor sabotage and coup de main [sic] incidents within Syria, working through contacts with individuals. Incidents should not be concentrated in Damascus. [A] necessary degree of fear, [...] frontier incidents and [staged] border clashes [will] provide a pretext for intervention. The CIA and SIS should use [...] capabilities in both psychological and action fields to augment tension. [Funding should be provided for a] Free Syria Committee [and arms should be supplied to] political factions with paramilitary or other actionist capabilities.

Apparently they burnt down the building. Guess they didn't have a plane to crash into it; had to do it the old fashioned way.
