Default How to minimize the "Endless Loadscreen" Feeling

Now, all the progress bar does is get stuck at some points and u are also stuck looking at a frozen screen, how can you help remove this feeling of the loading screen being endless?

Make it say what kind of thing its loading, and make it show different kinds of cool screenshots of battles posted by the community.

This will greately reduce the feeling of having an endless loading screen each time i load a battle.

I like the loading screen for Anno 1404, have you seen it? That game is full of small details that i appreciate.
I just read a couple of chapters while i'm waiting for shogun to load, with enough time for a few hundred press ups thrown in.

I always Alt+tab out of the game during loading screens and so something else for a minute.

Well, alt+tab seems the best solution to me as well...

I get up a do some stretches and/or drink water.

Come on, its not like I am strapped to my chair nor will the game start without me.

I usually keep an interesting book to read while waiting. All of them are about history.

Otherwise since I drink water, or go to toilet if loading time is taking more time.

Minimizing out of the game sometimes crashes in my PC, so I don't minimize at all. I use Ctrl+Alt+Delete method instead of Alt-Tab.

I usually make myself tea. For immersion purposes, it's usually either Sencha or Matcha.

I do the very same thing, although I confess to sometimes forgetting about it while it's steeping, which is never any fun.

Really? I usually really enjoy the strong taste of ever-steeped Sencha. Especially at the end of the cup.

I usually turn around to spend the waiting time with any children lingering around, and get teached some lesson either about makeup (from my daughter) or dinosaurs (from my son).
Then, facing the enemy army again, I might think stuff like "Now what would T-Rex do to break up this Ankylosaurus...?"

Mine takes a while to load when first opening for me but otherwise its not that bad.

And one can't compare the loading in shogun 2 to prototype 2, a 30 gig game vs a 9 gig game, prototype two simply only ever loads a a fraction of the data shogun 2 has to load at a time, it isn't any more efficient at loading.

Nothing one can really do to avoid it but ill give everyone these tips.

Have a raid, running games off a raid improves load times a fair bit.

Have a strecth or go take a leak, failing on that work on your secret plan to throw humanity back into the dark ages so you can lead a real army.

it's precisely because you are on all ultra that it takes longer to load. There's so much stuff that has to be loaded in.

Always nice to have a book on hand or take a short break.

I do see some merit in what he said. My game takes more than a minute to load a battle, let alone campaign or startup...

Indeed, I usually only start up Shogun when I have the urge to take a duce, usually because it's only after then it loads to the menu. It's rather puzzling as to why it takes so long to load.
