dachis how best to use them and upgrades

I seem to suck when using dachis. Probably cause im using them wrong and same with upgrades

So which ways best at using them ? And what upgrades are useful on them making them cost effective too.

as I've already answered on PM
(only)+2 attack makes them cost effective and battle effective
further you can add defense, morale and more attack
use them for flanking, charge is powerful, if possible make clean charge to single unit
attack strong, good defense units
some ppl hit banzai when unit starts to waver on end on battle, I like to hit it when charge wears off, 5-10 seconds after engagement

You can also use banzai to disengage the no-dachi from a battle. They will get a speed bonus so they will get out of melee faster and the unbreakable morale makes sure they don't rout from the morale penalty of being attacked in the rear.

The same speed bonus also makes it a good ability when chasing units like matchlocks.

get them to 52 charge. FULL charge upgrades with a bit of attack. If you can get the dachi to 26 atk (with banzai blade master and yagyu you are awesome) i think the costing is somewhere only between 1k-1.1k for an 8 chevron No Douche.

edit: i meant 42 charge (with banzai you'll receive 52 charge) the charge is very deadly just by looking at this number btw.

DON'T give them extra charge. They have enough as is and they won't kill much more units as their charge is already high enough. The charge bonus wears out fast and most of the time you won't even get a good charge because it will be wasted on attendants or they will get intercepted by another unit.

Don't upgrade charge, charge value past 20 is not so efficient anymore, it happens something what ducky refers to as "charge inflation", difference between 20 and 40 charge is not that great at all
