    Default Family Tree

I've always wanted to be able to see the rival factions family trees, so that when i'm scouting enemy territory for role playing purposes its great to be able to see whose the son of / uncle of/ father of who
how great would that be! it even involves the women a little more!

Only if we can assassinate them and make that faction believe it was another faction..

Id love it if you could spy on other family's of rival factions ... imagine if i my biggest rival had a great general that was to hard for my assassins to take out and my spies reported he had lets say two sons ... one he favorited and one he hated i send a message to his ''hated'' son and win him over to my side i now have a claim to this family's castle/city (would fit more in a medieval type setting) then i assinate his ''favorite'' son and it affects his father through negative traits ... imagine a total war game where i acctuly bother to spy and assinate instead of just full on invading, now wouldn't that be a sight

There is CK2 for that level of intrigue.

I don't think you should just be "able" to see your enemies but if a spy followed an enemy army around for a couple of turns and gathered that sort of information (like in ETW where after a while you could see the entire province) that'd be good.

Well that would be nice. Killing someones son should affect them, making them hate your faction more and assassination for political gain may be nice. Assassinate the children and leave just one who is willing to deal with you, its so......evil. =D

I agree with TheGreatOne you should be able to see a rival faction's family tree, but in my opinion RTW2 should have a more than one forms of governments so you would have a family tree only if your faction is a monarchy. Also if a rival faction is a republic you should be able to see who occupies what office and if your faction has a family tree you there should be different family plots ("impatient" heir, brother who wants heir dead...) which may result in civil war.

That's a great idea, seeing the family trees of rival clans would be great and add more to the emergent, campaign-map stories.

I think no matter what CA does, the family tree needs to be expanded upon for features and such

The famility tree was the basic for Roman politic and influence. In the other games they don't have such importance. In the first Rome the ancillaries simulated some careers but probably the engine was not mature enogh. Now with the potential of such experience gathered from the prevoius games, a lager team and more funds, they could add this feature. In EU:Rome there is something like that where the potical intrigue are in motion. Of course that game is a different type from the TW series but holds alot of potential features...
