Important Question about Gunpowder !

Checking the descr_strat of the early Campaign , I saw the end date is 1560. By then , gunpowder was already excelled .

My question is : I have the early campaign configured and campaign with genoa , if I play enough is there the change of discovering gunpowder and gunpowder units without switching to the late campaign from the setup menu ?

Yes. Earliest handgunners come avaivable at 1300 and last ones well after 1500. Units come avaivable after certain events, no matter if it is early or late era.
