Where is this going? If it is a definite quest, then I can moderate it.
Leading to a declaration of war, and a battle for Brandenburg and the rest of pomerania.
2,500 Spearmen and 250 Archers arrive under the Viscount of Milan. Sent as per agreement on the promise of future aid from Saxony against the Emirate of Sicily.
A letter arrives for the duke of Saxony.
Greetings, Duke Rolf of Saxony.
I, Viscount Cesare of Spoleto, must excuse myself for not being there with you in your war, but I must attend to matters I simply cannot ignore.
Now, for the troops, I promise you at least 200 cavalrymen when I have raised enough of them. May the Lord watch over you.
Viscount Cesare of Spoleto
Wrangel sees the message and says to Rolf
Mein Herr, perhaps I could lead the Italian's forces into battle, though I do have an idea on how to expedite the conquest of the pagans
OOC: Im thinking of doing something like the Chevauchée, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevauchée,
It basically is where you send in a bunch of calvarymen on a raid to create havoc and fear behind the enemies frontier, go after their commanders, communication, and supply lines, and get the enemy armies to be chasing the Chevauchee force instead of the main body of troops. In many ways it is like a mideveal form of blitzkrieg in the sense that it focuses on small mobile force that intends to penetrate the enemies front and create confusion and disrupt the enemy as opposed to more ponderous forces that try to take and hold ground and defeat the enemies main body in pitched battle

Moved to the Battlefied sub-forum as a thread for organising troops and movement.
You must also position the above troops in regions to prepare for war.
OOC: very well.
Prepare to move into Brandenburg. Von Wrangel, you can lead 200 cavalrymen to harass them in Pomerania.
Wrangel bows and says
Sehr gut mein Herr.
With that, the graf walks out and begins to gather his men and distributes black uniforms and instructs the men to have somewhat smaller more agile horses with greater endurence over the more ponderous chargers
OOC: Im going to bed, and do you understand the german Im using now. And maybe we can hold a mass to increase piety and give us absolution for what we do in brandenburg
Low speed, High Drag
OOC: yes, I understand what you said![]()
Publius arrives, and fixes the position of his manshaft. It annoys him as such, but with tight arabian silk underwear, it takes multiple adjustments, though exceptionally comfortable.
He walks around the camp, and nods at all the different troops.
OOC: his... Manshaft?
The duke gestures for Publius to speak with him in his tent. He is allowed past the large German guardsmen.
Publius passes the guards, and notices they smell like soggy, soaked dogs
He enters the tent, and sees the Duke he walks over to him, and bows as he believes is general courteousness to any royalty
"Publius Cornelius Scipio Byzantius, at your service, Your Royal Highness."
He raises an eyebrow.
Scipio eh? Well, a pleasure to meet you
Publius smiles at the comment about his surname
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you...
The pleasure is all mine, Your Royal Highness." He bows again
He nodded, and gestured for the man to sit opposite him.
I suppose you have come to take part in the crusade?
