What do i need to know?

Hello, i am new to this mod, ill be downloading and installing it, what do i need to know about it other than the common stuff such as better ai and more regions?

Also, im thinking of either playing as the Byzantines(ERE) or the Ottoman Turks or however they are called in this mod.

If you are the Byzantines is there a special event if u conquer Italy or something?

And is there some kind of event and such if you conquer Constantinople as the Ottomans?

No real tricks... lots of information though, read faq.

No special event for Italy ect... but you will get the "crown of Italy" ancillary if you conquer it all (same for various other areas (France, Germany, England ect...))

Two pieces of advice...

1) Never get involved in a land war in Asia.

2) Never go against a Sicilian if death is on the line, Hahaha, hahaha, haha......*

Ohh btw is this mods map borderless? I really hate borders.

Little pet peeve because I see this come up *so* often - the Ottomans were never in Medieval 2. The Early Era (in SS and in vanilla, although vanilla doesn't have any other eras to start from) coincides with the Great Seljuq Empire, while the Late Era of SS coincides with the Sultanate of Rum. The Ottomans didn't turn up until the late 13th century (1299).

As for a borderless map, all you need to do is open descr_sm_factions.txt (in the data folder), and change the secondary colours of each nation to match the primary colours.

I must also second the point about the Sicilians (in particular the Normans of Sicily). In real life they did capture two Popes in under a hundred years and get away with it.

Hi and welcome! There is not much you really need to know, everything is pretty self-explanatory for this mod. All I have to say is make sure you run the setup launcher to make sure you have the AI options etc you want and other than that just make sure you're ready for this mod!
