Problem with MTW 2 and RTW

Hey.

So I just recently installed MTW 2 again,and accidentally chose the 4:3 instead of the 16:4 option.
Now I have to play with two big black bars at both ends on my monitor.The same happened when I
installed RTW,without even choosing.

Is there a way I can change this without installing both games again ?´

Look in the medieval2.preferences.cfg.

Okay I guess I have to change something in the widescreen line ?´

Also,what can I do about the RTW problem ?´ Which data would I have to open there.

You can try both in their Options page for graphics.

Well choosing widescreen didnt changed anything.

I oopsed last year the same on both. I think I just broke down and reinstalled them. I don't think I found a way around it either.

For RTW, the best is usually to hit the auto-detect button.
At least on my computer, it enables my native desktop resolution (1600x900) which isn't available by default.

I did not try it but beatss reinstalling if it works.
