    Default Medieval Frame Drop

    So i just got new pc. When i tried to record Medieval with FRAPS it made the stupid framedrops. For example it runs 60 fps, but every 10 sec FPS drops to 30 for i sec. Please help i want to record Medieval.

    System:
    CPU: FX-4100 Black Edition
    GPU: Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition
    PSU: 530W
    RAM: 8GB
    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

    Fraps eats a lot of resources when recording videos. This is an usual behaviour of fraps. I have no idea what other programs could be used to record videos. There used to be a recommended software thread somewhere. Maybe there is something there. I will try to check it out and post any link that I find. I found a useful thread for you here.

    While video recording fps can drop if the game and recording location are on the same hard drive. Make sure RAM is also free and try to set affinity to different core, most likely fraps and medieval2.exe are sharing the same cores.

    And record videos on 30 fps, anything more is a total waste.

    Thanks Ishan, i changed the record folder and set FRAPS to record 30 fps.
