Default Shogun Lockup on Start or Shader Model 5

Just put together a new pc with sli GTX 670's. Finished download Shogun 2 from steam and when I go to play in DX11 the initial load screen stays for 3-5 minutes before I see the sega banner and continue or it just stops responding all together. When I do make it to the main screen and go in to options I try to change to Shader Model 5 and the program stops responding again and just freezes.

I've already uninstalled Chrome, any other ideas or suggestions? Dying to play.

    Try without the SLI?
    Post the gfx.log.txt.

After CA added oft shadows, everybody's initial load times got longer.

Hi thanks for the reply quick reply, I tried it without SLI and it worked. After changing options though it freezes for about 20 seconds then responds again. Game seems OK with no pauses though. Before I disabled SLI I also deleted flash player though. To test this I re-enabled SLI and it worked again so I have to assume the issue was the flash player. I thought it would prompt me to reinstall it when I start the game but it's not and it's no longer in my list of Windows programs either. So I guess for now I'm good to go and yes the load times not only on the main screen but battles as well are very long, I sure hope they improve this with Rome TW2 or I may pass on it until it's bargin price.

Flash is needed for the Encyclopedia.
The other freeze could be the settings you choose hence asking for the gfx.log.txt.
