will their be a 2nd series?
Apparently, but I have heard nothing about it for ages.
Well, if I, Belisarius, the Black Prince, and you all agree on something, I really don't think there can be any further discussion.

Its in 2007. So, get the DVD and re-watch the episodes, once a week. By the end, it'll be on already.
second series is in production
tbh 1st series disopointed me, no real decent battles, dispite what the trailer had :<
Battles are expensive and reserved for historical epics, Rome is more about the lives of Plebs and nobles mixed in with the intense political drama of Caesars rise and fall.

Sure I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is Im not. I honestly feel that America is the best country and all other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.
Indeed it does, if you really want to see a fully nude male.Originally Posted by JP226
I'm looking forward to the second series very much. The first was like a text book Shakespearian tragic masterpiece, including the wild sex.
I just can't believe those crazy people are charging $100 bucks for it just like they did with "Band of Brothers". I recorded all the epidsodes when they were airing so that should hold me down until I feel like buying the pack.
Meh, I'll probably buy them too, for some reason I really found Attia and her daughter hot. But I'll buy them mostly for the political drama that rivals House Of Cards.

The extras sound interesting enough
shame there no deleted scenes and such.. still, may consider buying it at that price, about the same as a new game reallyEight revealing audio commentaries with cast and crew • Shot x Shot – Gladiator: 40-minute making of documentary on the thrilling episode 11 fight sequence. • Shot x Shot - Triumph of Caesar: 40-minute making-of documentary chronicling the epic episode 10 triumph scene. • The Rise of Rome: 25-min behind-the-scenes featurette on sets, wardrobe and actors' boot camp

I've seen it for 5-10 minutes at a time on HBO, but they are always in the senate argueing, pleh
That's my favourite bit. The guy who plays Cato does disgusting things with his mouth, really disgusting. I can't bare to watch it. This hideous old man all wrinkles, jaws and right wing indignation. Horrific.
