"I am here to speak with Viscount d'Oria. I am Raphael Grimark and I come in behalf of my brother Gabriel."

The man was allowed into the meeting hall of the Viscount, who recieved him as he taught Ligurian tongue to a young boy.

    "Altra volta, Giovanni"

    "Ma Zio, Io..."

    "Altra!"

The boy read from an old book, in an odd tongue that Raphael didn't understand, and the Viscount left him to address the visitor.

"Raphaele Grimark. To what do I owe the pleasure?"

    A message arrives from Toscana,

    "Viscount of Liguria,

War broke in Italy, the Duke of Spoleto claimed the Italian throne for him self, something that I cannot agree with, I, Otto I of Tuscana am the only legitimate noble to old the throne, shall you decide to support me, I promise you great rewards, among them the Duchy of Liguria, provinces included shall be discussed latter,

    Waiting for your support,
    Duke Otto I of Toscana."

"There is war in italy. I come to ask your aid. My brother and his allies will probably soon be heading to war. He wants you to be one of those allies." Raphael said.

"It's corious. Just now I recieved a letter from the so called Otto I, selfproclaimed King of Italy, count of Toscana. He offers me wealth and land for my support of his claim. Why should I decline his offer and support King Gabriel?" said Andrea in a smooth soft voice, yet intimidating.

"Not King Gabriel. The votes from the election have put forth the once Count of Spoleto as King. My brother serves him in this war because he knows him to be honorable, he knows him to be righteous, he knows he will be a just ruler. By these things he will fight with him, FOR him." Raphael said with conviction.

"And I'm sure Duke Otto's supporters claim the same about him. As much as I'd wish to help the most righteous of our king prospects, the truth is neither have any greater right for the claim than the other, so I'd much rather aid the one that promises the most benefits for Liguria... and the D'Orias of course. I ask again, what does the Count of Spoleto have to offer?"

"If wealth and land is what you want, then we may be able to provide. I will say this however, although Duke Otto's supporters may claim the same as my brother. The truth is that we voted and Otto lost. The truth is, that my brother is arguable the Third most powerful man in Italy behind only The Pope, and Otto. Yet he supports Spoleto. What does that tell you?"

"Otto would give me more gold and land than you can offer, I wager," siad the Viscount, as he contemplated the situation.

"Yet... I won't let them say that I was swayed by only gold and greed. I shall respect our laws and support he who won these elections as our rightful king. Tell the King of Italy that the D'Orias support his claim, as do the armies and fleet of Liguria and Genova are his."

"I will indeed. And hold belief in this, you will be compensated." Raphael bowed, about faced and left
