I know there was a discussion that got way off topic sometime ago, but can you guys please give me some quick and precise points regarding PC V MAC on why the PC is better.

software made for OSX tends to be no frills and all function without excess clutter which is why people enjoy macs
other than that
for typical web usage
office work
gaming
PC pretty much tends to be the go to. thats being vague lol
but in general the only difference between a Mac and a PC is the operating system, internals are typical PC hardware so it basically comes down to security, functionality, software support
in terms of security Windows is ahead of Mac in terms of functionality it depends on your needs some mac has better functionality others its PC this is a wash
software support, PC, greater range and better support. except for a few apps like final cut pro etc.

Can you give me some examples of specific programs better on PC than MAC?
well Autodesk makes 3DS Max, Maya, Mudbox, XSI etc which all tend to function better on PC than on Mac
sames goes for Pixologic's Zbrush, then of course their is Microsofts office programs which are a business standard which most still have to pay for these days to get proper compatibility, and just about every computer game ever made runs better on PC than Mac,
for video editing and audio editing Apples products like Final Cut Pro and Logic Studio tend to be better than just about every windows alternative.
in terms of just watching video or browsing the web its a wash mac and windows both function exactly the same.

The main thing I hate about MAC's is exactly what Crazy said, inside they are the same, just that apples charge twice/three times as much for a similar PC lol.
The only difference is OS. And literally the fact still remains that Windows OS is by far the leader in the field and by this I mean support/use/programs not actual quality (that would go to Linux lol).
Mac advantages: Better design that most PCs, Indesign is a popular program and you can use command line for almost everything.
PC advantages: Cheaper, business standard (Office for Mac got compatibility issues etc), no special connectors necessary (people seem to always loose the VGA adapter for Macs) and you got a huge selection of computers and programs.
Personally I run Windows 7 on my laptop and dual boot it with Ubuntu on my stationary.
