Internet slowdown at certain time.
Over the past week my internet speed has hit a totaling wall at around 8:30 p.m. Turning off the router does nothing, neither does reconnecting the router or adapter. I've tried restarting my computer as well, nothing. Once the slowdown hits, pages load extremely slow and everything times out. Anyone know what could possibly be the problem?

Have you restarted the router?

Haven't thought of that, I'll give it a shot. I didn't consider traffic at first since most of my neighbors are elderly folks, what could they be looking at?!?!?Originally Posted by Bolkonsky
Comcast Xfinity is my provider and they've been shoddy at best when it's come to helping out anytime we've had issues with something.
Perhaps a new router or adapter is needed? Would it make sense that my adapter would start lagging at a certain time?

They are oversold in your area and thats when everyone logs on.
I dropped my last provider for the same issue, which magically went away once I switched.

Have you tried contacting your provider? If it is always the same time, it may be the line traffic is busiest at that time?

Yeah i have that problem too, i use a wireless connection, but im prety certain is due to trafic, because in the morning usualy its fast as mercury.
