Default Ferrets54 for Civitates (Patron: Octavian)

    Ferrets54 (Usernotes: 11)

Why I should be a civitate.

I should be a civitate because I am a very active member with amusing and excellent posts who, overall, is mostly well liked. I behave myself sufficiently to be a civitate, and don't really cause any trouble. I mean like, compared to goatse and what not what I do is trifles. My hair smells of strawberries.
    No paragraph from Octavian.

He has too many notes for me to consider voting yes.. his threads arent generally that great either, though his Political Profile thread is pretty good.

Overall, i have to vote no. Maybe i would reconsider when his warnings expire and he manages to post well for a month or two

Is it actually possible for a Civitate to be proposed when having active warnings?

And wasn't he suspended just recently? (again)

Yes by the Patronization Act the only literal requirement is that a candidate have 100 posts minimum and be a "contributing member". All we have to decide is first whether his contributions have a positive or negative effect on the community, and second, if they do have a positive effect, are they to the standard we would want to be representing the rank of Civitate. This will vary between members of the CdeC of course. What i generally say is 'if it isnt a definite yes, then its a no'

Anyway yeah im pretty sure he was suspended for some length of time recently.

Yes. Actually, a civitate has even passed(unanimously, in fact) with an active warning. Granted it was an exceptional case, but it might have happened before that as well.

I am almost sure, but sometimes I get people confused. Any member of staff could confirm.

Lets see. Smart, funny, and above all clever. Also doesn't follow the rules. And I have coem to believe that he doesn't follow the rules simply to not follow the rules. Now I often agree with ferrets about unfair treatment of him, but should civitates even be putting themselves in that posistion?

I like ferrets, but I cannot make him a civitate.

If intelligence was the only criteria, I would vote yes. He has changed a lot but it is too early for this particular vote...

I have to vote no, he has active warnings and may get suspended again, that is not really the example of a civitate we want...

But when his warnings expire I'd definitely vote Yes!

He currently has two active warnings and a number of cautions (3 in the last 2 months).

I'd disagree. He get's away with way more than anyone else in the forums history.
I'm thinking Octavian should recieve a warn or something for sending this in. Seriously, no paragraph from him. No persuasiveness in Ferrets paragraph. 11 user notes. It's a waste of time.

By the way, I voted no, with gusto.

Octavian will not get a warning for this. He is perfectly allowed to put forward anyone he sees fit, the rules are not hard and fast. Octavian just views things differently... If Octavian sends three failed proposals, then he MIGHT be investigated, but that has never been done and it would be a pretty serious step to take.

With that, he fails. not enough votes left. I shall PM both parties...
