Windows cannot find kingdoms.exe

Having downloaded CoW 1.5 from a torrent and successfully installed it from the setup program, I find myself unable to play due to the afforementioned pesky error message.

I did search the web for solutions, the best of which was to copy the CoW folder into the M2TW mods folder, which I did....and had no effect.

Note: M2TW version is gold with kingdoms expansion pack. Only other mod installed is third age.

My apologies if this is a common/simple problem, I just thought that you lot would be able to help.

try to install it inside your Medieval 2 Total War/mods.

I have the same problem.... but i didnt have it on my "old" computer it wasnt old but i have a newer one now

listen to this one: this is what i have problem with now with my new computer that i buildt myself and play TATW with MOS for M2TW, Stainless Steel, Skyrim, WOW, Dota2 etcetcetcetc on, so the computer is fine i have just done something wrong with the installation of this one that i didnt do the last time...


I pray that someone can help me, i have played CoW before on my old computer but i have a new one now, i have intalled and played M2TW kingdoms on it and its fully patched, i have also played TATW with MOS but when i installed:
CoW 1.5 + 1.5.1 patch
+ CoW Eng (unit desc etcetc in english)
and lastly the CoW Voice
I start up the mod, here is when it gets interesting, i get through the loading of the mod, then intro, get through that to, now i get a new loading screen with the loading bar that loads up completley, here is were i should get to the menu of CoW but instead i get an windows error sound and a small window in the middle of the screen with no text, only an option to click ok, once i do that game crashes to desktop

I installed it to my "C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Call_of_Warhammer

when i try to run it as admin i also get an error windows message saying basically it cannot find the kingdoms.exe Check so that you gave the right name and try again.

Also i get an error message in the command window saying:

C:\Windows\System32>del \Q ".\data\text\*.bin"
Can not find the searchpath.

C:\Windows\System32>del \Q ".\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign\*rwm"

Can not find the searchpath.

C:\Windows\System32>cd "..\.."

C:\>start kingdoms.exe (HERE IS A STRANGE SYMBOL, IT MIGHT BE AN @)mods\call_of_warhammer.cfg


Also: the tips on the loadingscreens are still in russian, i think they should be in english since i have installed the two language packs
